Hacking I need help about the tutorial Add custom root certs to the Wii U's browser

I follow this tutorial, but seem don't working.. When i add certificates in rootca.pem my wii u freeze on the website, and i need to restart my wii U, after restart, all my certificates be deleted :/ Someone can help me ?

I follow a tutorial on GBAtemp, and the guy said to edit rootca.pem on the wii U :/ Just, now my browser make crash my wii u :/ So i don't know how to make it work again :/ I think is a soft-brick... Someone know how to unbrick my Wii-U browser and make it work again.. ? Without my browser i can't access to Homebrew or CFW :/

If your browser is totally dead, we have the same problem, there is an exploit in Mario Kart 8 which allows you to enter Homebrew Launcher and there solve the disaster by ftp

Never heard from that exploitation. Do you mean this? This is poc. Not really tested if i read correctly.

this is why I haven't tried any browser hacks. it's especially bad if you don't have haxchi or something to fix it if something goes wrong.

I still can't get it to work, I need the Java Development Kit (JDK) and for some strange reason I can't install it on Xubuntu, everything else I have been able to compile perfectly

I've resolve the problem, i change my wii u ^^'
And yeah i follow a guide and my browser was dead :/ And i can't install Haxchi because i can't buy a DS Game on the eshop ^^' I don't have credit card and my parents don't want to pay on the eshop.

i managed to edit the rootca.pem file with updated certificates and got quite a few websites working again

How many certificates did you try to append?

just use jnus tool to get the title again to fix corrupted or missing files.

I was going say that I did some tests.

• At first, I tried to append a bunch of certificates, but the browser would crash when starting, it displays a white page and the address bar before crashing.
• Then I tried to append just a few (4 certificates), it crashed again, but this time the browser would load the actual page before crashing.
• Finally I decided to append only one (this one specifically), just to be sure, and it worked, no crash so far.

So maybe that is what is happening to @Latte
