So I have a ton of NSP files and I think some are EU and others US. Is there some sort of viewer that can look inside these files and give me more detailed info? Like I have Minecraft, nsp and Minecraft Switch Edition.nsp?!

I plan on moving from XCI to NSP and I'm wondering if I need to match up the regions? (Say I have the XCI EU version of Mario Kart 8 and remove that and install the US version of the NSP. Will my save games still work?)

I bought splatoon 2 no piracy. Can i get the DLC using xecuter? does dlc comes with cert?
Yes you can but you will need SXOS to launch Splatoon 2 then. Since these DLC don't belong to you, you won't be able to launch the game on Official Firmware, even if the game is yours. Furthermore, playing online on SXOS CFW is very risky. I would not recommend that. For the games you own and are playable online, buy DLCs for them.

nsc has an interface exe that is gui file infor tool that tells u everything about the nsp including what update or dlc u have in it

thanks

EDIT. btw you can install xci to the switch in the same way as nsp so converting the files is unnecessary

Wow. This thread just can’t RIP.

These should get you started for 2022…
  • XCI-Explorer — display information about game files
  • NX Game Info — display information about nsp, xci or installed games
  • NXFileViewer — display information about nsp or xci

https://github.com/SciresM/hactool
https://github.com/Thealexbarney/LibHac
All of those are listed as displaying info about the nsp. Do any of the three allow me to peruse the data within the nsp, as in view the various files?

The first three are high level but have some advanced content features. The notes beside them are just my quick reference. Read their actual documentation and try them out to see all the features they have.

Hactool and hactoolnet take you to the next level down…uncompressing l4z to get you individual files. Some of the file for,at s underneath that will have their own compression/formats as well. Depending upon what you want to do (audio, graphics, etc, etc) there are tools to unwrap those as well.

and the XCI-Explorer not moded version even let you extract them:

NX Game Info show information about a folder of NSP, XCI files.

and NxFileViewer let you also export files from the NSP

As stated by @binkinator if you need to recompile the extracted files to a NSP you need HacTool & HackToolNet

for edit several types of Switch files you can use Switch Toolbox, even Switch Toolbox also allows you to open NPS and XCI files
