Electro motive force? Yes it is a key aspect of motors, actuators and such design and their function.

Electro magnetic field(s)? Yes it is a fundamental aspect of physics (literally, it is both light and directly involved with the four fundamental forces).

Humans are sensitive in the eyes to EMF in the visible range (funny that), infrared if high enough intensity to warm the skin (and said human has a functioning heat detector, some don't) and like most biologicals don't do so well when pelted with high intensity ultraviolet, x-rays and gamma rays. Microwaves if of a suitable frequency to couple with the water in the body and intensity to not have any rise dissipated also can trouble humans as they are large enough for the waves to do things (you can microwave ants fairly happily, do it to a grasshopper and pop goes the weasel, or indeed grasshopper).
Humans are not sensitive to radio waves or things seen in electronics saving that is not UV or xray (or gamma rays if they are one day able to be made artificially) generation devices, said microwaves, IR or lasers of suitable power.
