An appeal to EMF-deniers

Hello,

you dont question whether EMF radiation exists. You have no doubt that EMF radiation has an effect on the human body. The debate revolves around the question whether EMF radiation is a serious health hazard. You read the critical studies only to recide your inner dogma that there is no harm in EMF radiation. I get it! I understand that the idea of so many people harmning themselves is alarming. All those thinskulled children being exposed to WiFi, mobile, smartphones, portable consoles like the switch and steam deck.

Look at it that way. If low-EMF-gamers get what they want, you win too! More options on the market. Nintendo coming out with a new gameboy to have a low EMF alternative to the switch 2. Wired controllers without battery and leds, shielded, beautiful, elegant. Think of the possibilities!

Take care

By and large the one making the outrageous claim is the one that gets to prove it.

In this case electromagnetic radiation is well known as a concept, and has been widely employed to varying degrees all over the world.
There has been no marked increase in anything in proportion to levels of deployment and amounts subjected to. There are "quiet zones" around the place for various radio telescopes too and no discernable effect on human health has been observed. Double blind tests are common enough as well with those that claim to be sensitive and they fail just as hard as ESP double blind tests. Animals, which tend to be used for stand ins for humans for obvious reasons and are more sensitive to such things, have no effects either.

The bigger risk by orders of magnitude is EMF producing devices tend to be quite fun which means you sit on your arse to enjoy them and you get the associated health concerns of being a fat bastard.

Thank you for this well written thorough response, as always.

Agreed!

You might want to take a look at this metaregression analysis:

Metaregression analysis indicated that the association was significantly associated with methodological study quality (p < 0.019, 95% CI 0.009-0.09). Relationship between source of funding and log OR for each study was not statistically significant (p < 0.32, 95% CI 0.036-0.010). We found evidence linking mobile phone use and risk of brain tumours especially in long-term users (≥10 years). Studies with higher quality showed a trend towards high risk of brain tumour, while lower quality showed a trend towards lower risk/protection.
