Please excuse my bad English. I'm using Google Translate.

GameCube Backup Manager is a program to work with Nintendo GameCube ISO and GCM file backups, allowing you to transfer the files correctly to FAT32 and NTFS devices. Graphically, the program is very similar to the popular Wii Backup Manager, which makes it easy to use.

SOURCE CODE: The GameCube Backup Manager program source code is released under MIT License.

COMMENTS:

1: I'm just a hobbyist, so the program code is a real spaghetti! I am not responsible if the program opens a portal to hell and starts the apocalypse!

2: In Exact Copy (1:1) mode, disks 1 and 2 are stored within the same folder. In Scrub mode, disks 1 and 2 are stored in separate folders.

3: I'm not a professional software developer, I'm learning on my own, so I apologize if any errors occur while running the program. Please report any bugs!

ATTENTION!!!

- The program is only available for the Microsoft Windows 64-bit operating system.

Features

  • Batch file transfer.
  • Test game (directly in the Dolphin emulator).
  • Execution of multiple instances of the program.
  • Upload the ‘wiitdb.xml’ file in the ‘Database’ tab.

  • Display of game information (region, publisher, genre, etc). File ‘wiitdb.xml’ required.

Can you change the release zip names to remove version numbers so that the zip is always named the same for each release? Doing so will allow us to always get the latest version by following this link

https://github.com/AxionDrak/GameCube-Backup-Manager/releases/latest/download/gcbm.zip

Currently that link won't work, but this one does for example https://github.com/AxionDrak/GameCube-Backup-Manager/releases/latest/download/gcbm_2.2.0.0.zip

Edit: what does this mean? "Registration system.

Also, any plans to share a 32x version as well for broader compatibility?

Sorry, Google Translate got it wrong! hahahaha
This is the LOG file, with the content displayed in the 'Log' window.

There are currently no plans for a 32-bit version. I focused exclusively on a 64-bit version as it is a more up-to-date technology with better performance for data processing.
A 32-bit version can be considered for future release.

Good Morning.:)

Thank you for the Translation @Laete_Meireles 👌

I have changed the Language to English now.
But everytime I start the Backup Manager it says "Internet Connection Disabled !"

1650703632689.png

And No Update for the Wiitdbt.xml File is possible.

1650703671338.png

Thank you for your Help.😉

Bom Dia.😊

Obrigado pela Tradução @Laete_Meireles 👌
Eu mudei o idioma para inglês agora.
Mas toda vez que eu inicio o Backup Manager ele diz "Conexão com a Internet desabilitada!"
E nenhuma atualização para o arquivo Wiitdbt.xml é possível.

Obrigado pela ajuda.😉

I can support Korean translation! :)
I'm using the 'ResX Resource Manager' program to translate the texts.

It allows exporting the texts to an Excel spreadsheet, where I can perform the translations and import them back to Visual Studio for compilation.

I put the spreadsheet with the texts in English (US) as an attachment. If you want, you can check the possibility of translation into Korean.

This is probably not the best approach to performing translations, but it is the one I have adapted best and has given excellent results.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
