I know I don't pay as much attention to 3DS, but I'm currently going through and trying to finish out the Switch UI port. 3DS now supports zip import and export and will get the same Google Drive support Switch is getting. I already have Drive working on both, but 3DS has a minor issue not present on Switch. I'm hoping to get them both updated by late December or early January. It's been asked of me a bajillion times since I wrote this and I know it took close to 5 years, but it's happening.

I just updated git with instructions and updated the early build links there too. Github readme has instructions for how to get drive going on 3DS. It's more or less the same as Switch with one change at the end. For now, you must have the Export to Zip option turned on for it to upload backups. I haven't brought over the Switch code to zip folder backups to upload just yet. 3DS has some improvements over switch at the moment at the cost of RAM. I'm not sure how well old 3DS's with a lot of titles installed will handle it. New 3DS also has some minor speed benefits because I've added code to detect and use the extra core to run threads instead of using the same core as the main thread. Downloads and uploads are slow, but I suppose that's expected from 3DS. No amount of tweaking the threaded download code from Switch helped 3DS.

The layout is the same as on your SD card. It creates a JKSM folder with the same sub-folders on your drive. Every game/type is separate. I've been playing with it and moving saves from my New 3DS to my OG 3DS and vice versa for testing and fun. Kinda wish I did this sooner.

I still have a few things I need to get done before an actual release. Getting the Switch UI running on 3DS hasn't been as easy as I hoped.

Are you nuts? The author is in the process of updating it. How much more "real developer" can it get? If you think that it is lacking some functionality, suggest it, or better yet, get coding.

It is the best Savemanager for the 3DS. Feel free to disagree... everyone has the right to be completely and totally wrong!

So, a really real developer needs use my simple code to add it to their app because it's so simple they couldn't do it themselves.

Makes perfect sense. My brain is shutting down trying to make sense of this at all.

Hello. I am playing Pokémon FireRed (gba virtual console) on my 3ds . And I had a question, can I transfer my Pokémon to another game, like SoulSilver for example?
I tried to pull out saves using JK's SaveManager, but unfortunately that program doesn't see Pokémon FireRed in the title list =(
PKSM doesn't help either, it can't open any file in the game directory.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

This has nothing to do with JKSM and you should probably post about this in a new thread.

Anyway, JKSM can't do anything with GBA games, especially those running via virtual console injects. The only thing that can really manipulate that save data is Godmode9. (Someone made a particularly useful script for manipulating GBA VC data not so long ago.) If you use open_agb_firm instead of a VC inject, then the save data is stored in a much more accessible location.

where did u get the cia file from i cant find it
well, there is a link within the OP of this thread. mentions JKSM. within there, theres something that also mentions releases. From that, theres possibly some assets where there might be a cia file you could find and install.

I m having trouble using JKSV for streetpass puzzles. Things like "export" and "file" and unlock" are nowhere to be seen in the menus. And I have no idea what Im supposed to do with the meet.dat file, as well as where I'm supposed to find it. Is it in extra data? System save? Are the instructions outdated? or am I missing something?

Yes, the precise nature of Mii Plaza saves is shrouded in mystery. The only documentation I've seen about them is in https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/70gwgu/everything_you_wanted_to_know_about_the_3ds_but/ , which is unfortunately kind of old at this point, but I don't know if anyone has ever done further investigation.

What were you going to do with the Streetpass puzzles? If you were going to use a save editor, perhaps you should consult that editor's documentation?

I been trying to dump the CFL_DB.dat from Mii Maker so I could use this tool. But I can't find an option to access to the Shared ExtData. I don't know if I explain myself.
You might need to find an older build or the builds I uploaded to Google drive from the Github Readme a while ago. If I remember everything right, you can slide the thumbstick left and right to change save types in those and I finished icon generation for those saves. I'll check in if you need help at all.

EDIT: Please ignore my ramblings.

Simply be advised that if you want to continue messing with *hax and JKSM, make sure you get the updated 11.17 otherapp payloads directly from https://github.com/zoogie/ninjhax2.x/releases . Accept no substitutes!

Welp, I got some bad news that I'm thinking no one else on the planet is going to care about.

It seems the old JKSM 12/20/2018 no longer works with the updated *hax for 11.17-U. :( Bottom screen turns red, upper screen gets covered in assorted garbage. New and Old. (Super ftpd II Turbo still works, so it's not like *hax broke everything.)

I don't suppose I might ever-so-humbly inquire if there's any possibility of another *hax-compatible update? It still has its uses, especially with super-skaterhax. I'd be willing to do some testing. (I'd even be willing to make a donation.)

ETA: Further testing suggests that takeover targets may be completely broken with *hax for 11.17. Aie! I suppose I'll have to consult the Discord if I am to have any hope of sorting this out. (And I don't think they're going to be much interested either. :( )

I'm sorry but what do these bin files do exactly?
Post automatically merged:

Does JKSM just not work on Japanese 3DS? I tried to use every version there is, but I could not dump any files. I was hoping to use a Street Pass/Mii Plaza editor, but each program suggests using JKSM, yet every time I try to use this, I cannot dump any pertinent files.
