I was able to finally open homebrew and the Rosalina menu thanks to feedback and sources, although I am still having trouble opening up luma for everytime I try to open it it says it couldn't get the status code and failed to obtain required data, does this mean it needs to be updated? And if I no longer have godmode9, can I still update luma and download games? (Update: I've attached a picture of the issue)

You should upload a picture of the issue, godmode9 is just a payload, luma is a custom firmware, you can use luma without godmode9, but you need luma for use godmode9, just download the last version of luma, put it in memory root, you just need boot.fim in the root of sd/microsd/ctr nand, but sounds your memory is causing the issue

I see you're using Luma Updater, get the latest Luma3DS files and place them on the root of your sd card, or use Universal Updater as stated above.
But you need the files on the sd card in order to set up Luma on the CTRNAND, so the system can boot when the sd card is not inserted. Here's the guide, follow section VI.

You need GodMode9 to be in the system, it's your last resort if you somehow corrupt or brick your system, with it you can restore a NAND backup (which you should've done as it's in the CFW guide).

Luma updater no longer works, use universal updater. It can update both Luma and godmode. It won't update them on the ctrnand though. Copy and paste from within godmode on the sd card.
As I mentioned godmode9 was removed from the luma payload folder, this was because it mentioned in the A9LH to B9S 3DS hacks guide that it was no longer needed after copying SafeB9SInstaller.bin from the SafeB9SInstaller .zip file to luma/payloads. Should I reinstall godmode9? Or is there someway I can retrieve it? Sorry, I'm new to this whole process and I'm just trying to figure out what is needed and how to fix this.

godmode9 is needed for the console. Please readd it as per https://3ds.hacks.guide/restoring-updating-cfw instructs for it.

Alright I have Universal updater and godmode9 now, to fix the issue with luma would I need to do that from the universal updater or through godmode? I followed the steps from both restoring/Updating CFW and the finalzing setup sources on 3DS Hacks

you can update luma on the sd card at least with universal updater. I don't think you can update it on the ctrnand, since it needs permission. you can through godmode though, where you copy and paste luma's boot.firm to the root of the ctrnand. godmode for that goes in ctrnand/rc/luma/payloads iirc

Sorry since I'm still barely figuring my way around this, do I have to update luma through the SD card or through the universal updater? If its the universal updater, how exactly do I do that? I wouldn't know how to use godmode9 or the universal updater to accomplish any of those tasks without any kind of insight on them, I did just get the softwares yesterday. I apologize again for excessively asking questions, I'm mostly following the steps provided on the 3DS Hacks guide website.

make sure you're connected to the internet, then launch universal updater. scroll down to the luma icon, then select it with A. let it download. once finished, restart your system while holding select at boot up to see if luma was updated. if so, put godmode in iirc luma/payloads on the sd card. restart the system, now hold start while booting up and see if godmode boots up.

Alright I installed luma through the universal updater and godmode is now up, was there something else I needed to do after that?

go into godmode, and copy and paste the boot.firm from the root of your sd card to the root of the ctrnand. godmode goes in /rw/luma/payloads you may have to boot luma without the sd card inserted before that folder location appears.

Boot.firm is already on the root of my sd card, through Godmode9, on SYSNAND CTRNAND it already shows that the boot.firm is in there. These were already done before updating luma on the universal updater, unless I'm thinking the wrong way. Although should I still boot luma without the sd card?

delete the boot.firm on the ctrnand, then copy and paste the one from the sd card. I don't think that was updated.
Just to confirm, this is the ctrnand I'm referring to. Delete the boot.firm from here and then where would I copy and paste the one that was on the root of the sd card?

And to copy and paste boot.firm would I paste it to the CTRTransfer folder or overwrite it with the one that's already on the root of the sd card?

you can overwrite it or just delete it, then copy and paste. after that, test if you're on 10.3 by removing the sd card, and booting the system while holding select.

It's not turning on, even without holding the start or select buttons. It's not low on battery either
