ROM Hack Translation Tomodachi Collection: New Life Translation Progress

I have begun working on a translation for this game because people seem to want it, including myself. I have found it possible to edit the titles of pretty much anything in the game so far. I will update this thread occasionally for updates!

Update as of 3/4/22: Fully refines the Transfer feature between Tomodachi Collection and this game. Things that will be added in the next update include fixing the island name in Import Wear, descriptions for clothing and/or hats, and possibly a full translation of the Moving Software for the Transfer feature. I would also like to clarify:
I have no plans for putting every region's item in the game.

If anyone is curious on how this would look like, basically I pull stuff from the UK and US English versions and put exclusive items only in the JP version in romaji (except for the descriptions).

I also may need to clarify one thing. If anyone using this ROM Hack finds a very poor translation, please tell me a better one to put in its place. I am doing this without having to sludge through learning Japanese, and may mess up a thing or two.

Very excited for this ^^ what are the differences between new life and the eng port of Tomodachi life?

there's only one amount that is required to say how many- oodles.

-blood types can be added for Miis
-first person pronouns can be changed (watashi, atashi, and a few others)
-enka song in concert hall
-completely different compatibility tester music
-several traditional Japanese outfits and foods
-40+ hats are missing

i have the japanese version of tomodachi life on my 3ds but i have a question

is there a specific version patch of the game this needs to work? i have the first version of it and as its out of region (and installed via a cia on a european 3ds) i can’t update it.

i’m interested in what that moving software says as google translate just isn’t helping at all

Afterward there is an option in town hall that is fully translated to transfer Miis from that game. If you use the tool before you start the game, you can skip the tutorial by importing your lookalike from Collection.
