Well I've tried: AtmoXL, DBI, Goldleaf, Tinleaf, Tinwoo, Awoo.

The only 2 that work properly are: DBI and Goldleaf.

I don't see a way to select multiple NSP files to queue install in Goldleaf so DBI wins ?
(All the others crash when installing the new Minecraft update)

Also interesting is the fact that in DBI when you select multiple NSP's that contain the main software + update,
it can actually install the update first and then the main program,- I'm guessing this doesn't create issues ?!

Yeah no issues, that's fine. Last week I accidentally just installed an update without the base game, you get an icon on the home screen but it shows the cloud when selected meaning that it wants to install stuff, I then installed the base game and it works normally.

If you use any homebrew like Retroarch that does much file read/write on the SD card, you really need to be using fat32. If you just install & play Switch games then glhf I guess.

out of principle I would never use anything other than dbi. it's the most no-bullshit one there is out there.

tinfoil homophobia, awoo transphobia, all the other forks that just keep forking upon each other to try and "1-up" each other over drama, all claiming to be more bullshit-free than the others, it just makes no sense.

goldleaf is pretty bullshit-free as well that being said, but I found dbi's mtp mode to work better and easier than Quark, plus support for xci and nsz if that tickles your fancy.

dbi completely replaces every save data manager app out there as well... and every file manager/browser, too. it just does it all. why have 5 apps on your system when you can just have the one that does everything all-in one? way I see it.

What? How can software that basically unzips stuff to the right folder be transphobic? I'm out of the loop here, can someone fill me in?
I don't know anything about Awoo, but blawar's Tinfoil used to display homophobic and transphobic messages to the user by design.

Dbi is the best one yet if you run the MTP responder via pc.

I occasionally use Tinwoo aswel when docked installing games via USB hdd to sdcard

DBI is so superior to the others, it's not even funny. I fear the other devs will just give up and cease to update their installers, making DBi the only one. A monopoly is never good.

That's madness. I know blawar was always a few ants short of an anthill, but I never knew about these messages. I always avoided using Tinfoil because of the Hekate thing. Now I'm glad I did. Thanks.

People always have to go offtopic don't they.
OP asked for "best installer to replace Awoo" as in functionality, not as in wanting to know about the devs political beliefs and removed messages of the past.
I said it before and I say it again: condemn blawar and the rest privately, not everyone gives a shit and if the dev does good work who cares. You are not automatically sympathizing with them by using their software, period.

Very strange. Nsp install is mostly copy files. There's nothing that can cause crash.

It is strange but you can try it yourself :)

Some programs cause an Atmosphere crash and some are just closed down, either way they don't work.
It also happened with the previous update, I figured maybe something was wrong with the NSP but that's not the case.
