Hello, I'm working on a project and I was very interested in how i would rip the images for the user custom pilots as well as the voices clips you can choose for them. I wanted to make some "make your own pilot" pilot mods for Ultimate knight windom xp.

Thanks

Whew, this thread has really been buried over the years.
A buddy picked up the new one on STEAM during the summer sale
And was wondering if any other SD Gundam games had been translated.
Glad I was able to find this old thread and direct them here.
Also, I take it "May 2017" was the last time this project was updated ?

I put the contents of the texture zip into the textures folder but I keep getting "'Textures.ini' filenames may not be cross-platform" How do I fix this?

Sorry to dredge this up but I am trying to get back into this game and needed to patch everything from scratch does someone have the files as now i have to ask for access?

Hey, can the new( like Astrea and AGE-2) unit be edited? I mean can those texture be replace?

Last edited by Lazyar,
Do you know what the name file is ? (those that i have said before), for example xi Gundam. NPJH50681 > Units > 12 Hathaway's Flash > 03590 Xi Gundam > (one of them) 03590_at3_b1v1c1_2

Does anyone know of any modding communities that I can ask questions? Namely interested to know if its possible to modify existing mech stats and weapon damage numbers or add attacks etc, cuz I want to ideally add a few more MS in the game but if that's not possible, perhaps a way to replace certain MS with other suits? For example, Sinanju Stein into Sinanju Stein (NT ver), Neue Ziel II into Neo Zeong, etc

In the same vein, is it possible to replace pilot stats and names etc?

So this question might be a bit late but I can't find anything in terms of help. I've tried looking but can't find anything.

My PSP1000 is hard modded and currently on version 6.60 PRO-C2 so its as up to date on CFW it can be but I'm having issues where once I boot up the game, it loads system data and then freezes on a black screen. I've tried downloading the prepatched file I found on CDRomance and I've tried using a separate Japanese iso and patching with the 1.1 HQ patch and the game still won't load properly.

I've tried changing the ISO mode in the VSH menu with no change. I've also booted up the original Japanese version of the ISO with no issue.

Does anyone still have an older version of the Translation patch without the texture changes to see if that works or have any other advice that could be causing the issues?

Thanks

I really appreciate for your works guys. I got in to this sd gundam generation series through genesis and played crossrays and then I got my hands on overworld, so far this is the best sd gundam game I ever played, and wishing someone can make new units in the game so that I do not even need to wait bandai to make another sd gundam g generation series.

anyway thanks guys!

I found that the music files are scattered among the id files which have the translatable texts, the audio files seem to all start with "RIFF" and are in atrac format. I converted them to mp3 and uploaded them to here (I kept the original filenames): <removed link due to post restriction>
If you need the original files I can upload them as well. Besides music these files also contain the mission title announcements.

I also found (converted and uploaded) the video files as well, they start with "PSMF" and seem to be in h264 format, though i'm not sure if its correct. The video files either have no audio on them, or at least I couldn't find it (I also couldn't find them among the ripped audio files).
I was curious if you have a vague recollection of what format or location the voice data is in.

I am working on a side project to port over some of the dubbed generic battle dialogue from "Encounters in space" & "DW Gundam" to Overworld.

I would assume they were at3, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find much outside of the music files

Ok, so I have extracted all the voice files and converted them to wav. It seems the format is "AHX" which is a "sister" format to "ADX", so it wasn't too hard to convert them.

Direct link to the voice files can be found here, due to the way google drive works, you can listen to the audio directly from your browser.

The current issue is organizing the voices and figuring out which file belongs to which character...

I used xVATrainer to auto-transcribe the dialogue in a majority of the files to a spreadsheet, this also has the benefit of machine translating the dialogue to english from Japanese, making it easier to get an idea of what is being said.

A link to the above spreadsheet can be found here, for those interested in helping out. As I do not recognize many of the japanese voice actors for series such as Seed.

This research opens up the possibility to replacing character voice lines with custom lines (or in my case, dubbed lines).

In conjunction with image/text replacement, this could allow someone to add in completely unique characters to the game by replacing existing characters (such as replacing the Bonus character "Blood" with "Mikazuchi" from IBO or "Florence Kirishima" with "Peche Montagne" from UC Engage)

[edit] Fixed the broken images
