Hi everyone, the subject might have already been discussed but i’m still asking…
I’m a total newbie in switch hacking i had a hacked 3ds and it was wayyyy easier.

I’m having an Oled in January, and i’m not superman so no hacking for me.
However,i want to be able to simplify my games to do what i want.

Is it in ANY way possible to run an emulator, trick my save a bit (like terraforming island on acnh or get shiny pokemon, not that much of hack just save thing),find a way to sign it (i read that,is it necessary?) then transfer its data to the oled switch? Everything here about emulator seems to be from years ago so it might be outdated…

Don’t just respond “no.” I need to understand why so i can maybe come with an other option

If really not possible i might even get a v1 just to hack it,play my games as i want, then transfer to my oled(WITHOUT BAN) is it possible? If so can i get a tutorial?

Please tell me with simple steps english isn’t my first language and software things are difficult to understand :(

I really need to keep the oled safe since it’s also my boyfriend’s one not only mine
Things are i always prefer games with a little bit of spice

Thanks for your reading and sorry for my bad english

To run homebrew you need to hack the Switch. To hack the Switch there needs to be a mistake in Nintendo's security. There are no mistakes in Nintendo's security on the Oled model so it's not possible to run homebrew on it without a mod chip.
Thanks,
I know i can’t hack my oled,in my second option i asked if maybe with a cracked switch i could transfer my tricked save to my oled? Maybe with the switch data transfer, would it work?

Sadly it won't work because Nintendo purposely requires you to link a Nintendo account before you can do any save transfers on both switches.

Oh wait if you only have a single switch and don't want to risk bans then you are better off just trying to find other save modder to get you stuff/shiny that you want and trading them to you locally or online.

Another slightly more expensive alternative is to buy a hackable switch off the 2nd hand market and mod it yourself.

As for save cloud upload/download...it doesn't work for Pokemon & as for AC you can actually transfer your save rather easily from modded switch to clean switch using the island save transfer tool ver1.0.0, weirdly enough Nintendo didn't force a server communication to verify before you can transfer island data! Which is rather weird because all other saves transfer requires online account authentication so make use of this opportunity before they update the app to require an online authentication. AC save transfer includes island and player data. After transfer they will ask u to link a user account to the save data or create a new character.

I dont use my Switch in any way with internet, but try this:

1. Edit Savegame on Hacked Switch
2. Upload it to your Nintendo-Account via Save-Upload
3. Download it on the OLED
4. Profit.

Of course you will probably get banned on the Hacked Switch for online stuff, but no idea if you get banned for uploading saves etc.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
