Updated 3ds keeps giving update notifications

Hey all! I'm not sure when it started, but at some point in the last month or so my 3ds started giving me an update notification whenever I launch the console. It's currently already on 11.15.0-47U, and Luma is already on 10.0.2.1, so I'm not exactly sure what the issue is.
I want to transfer stuff into pokemon bank, so I kind of need to be able to get rid of this notification to even be able to get bank. So like, any help would be appreciated c:

I actually havent tried yet. I've been worried about what updating could do to my 3ds :x
Would it be safe to hit update and see?

Yes perfectly safe. If you have a missing or corrupt system file the 3ds will just redownloaded the system title at fault.

Yeah that fixed everything! in retrospect, it was a ludicrously simple fix. I was just so worried about bricking my gameboy lmao
