When the app is loaded, I see it does an authentication check with Nintendo servers.
I am now curious how this app will run on a CFW switch.

Yes with NES and SNES app from eShop but you have to connect the online every 7 days to check if you have active subscription so N64 and Sega Genesis probably no difference.

Note: Remember, my post is based on apps that you get from eShop with no modification nor NSP outside of eShop.

the n64 controllers were in stock about an hour ago, bought 2 of them, but now they're out of stock again. I heard from a friend that they do not work on the pc, so it's the switch only. might be part of what that firmware yesterday was for, to add some sort of proprietary support to that and the genesis controllers, which I also bought 2 of. I'll probably get the expansion pack if Nintendo comes through with my Mario red and blue switch right joycon that they lost.

I doubt they wouldn't work with the PC in time. There's nothing special about how it interfaces with the system. Guess I'll have to see for myself. I mainly bought one for use on my computer.

well, I'll try to get it to work on the pc once I get them. my friend decided not to buy them because of those reports. I bought them partially because it seems a lot of people want them. I don't plan to scalp, I plan to use them with the switch if I get the extension pack.

I'm going to try it on project 64. I got around the paying aspect of it by doing that -1 trick. I couldn't get the input controls to show up completely even with the dpi trick, so I'm using a different plugin than what it comes with. I'll see if the app can read the inputs.
