I figured that much, but all of those take me to places where there is an above level narrow spot that I can't get through or to the direction of the new zone I can't explore without dying.
Struggling to remember, I'm not in that area at the moment. Did you get the
thing for climbing the blue panels?
Yeah. My save point is at the spot where if I go left, there a fire plant blocking my path. I can only seem to go right, which takes me to the new area.
try shooting walls and floors that look like they could open a new way

Try shooting around the last places the game funnels you into. The path itself is pretty linear for a while.
you know what it was? it was a damn blue area i had to hang on to move a platform. i didn't even notice that was an option for some reason, even though they show it earlier on in the game. after that progression was good.. silly me!
The spot I got stuck is where you first enter a new area (with hot rooms). Seemed like there was only one way to go, but there is a way left after the elevator.
The ending of the game is fantastic, Your in for a real treat, specially if you've played the previous games.
