I keep that idea in mind for a long time, but I have no idea how to make it convenient to use, I definitely want to make it possible.

It would be great, if someone will create a video like that!

Sure, I'd like to add multiple gamepad support, as well as dual joycon support, but still I'm not fully understand how gamepad management works in Nintendo Switch's OS, but later I think I'll add it!
I hope you will be able to find it because that would be freaking amazing! :D

So I asked this in the moonlight-nx thread and may as well ask here as well. Is it possible, or could you possibly implement, to play a game and not have it take priority on PC? For instance, I wanna stream Stardew Valley but also have the PC able to play a different game without the two conflicting with one another or requiring the streaming application be 'on top' of whatever else may be happening on the PC.

The problem is that moonlight stream the whole display (so it can only show you whatever the display shows), maybe you can do it with a second display.

Hi, unfortunately no, it's impossible, and it is not something that moonlight could overcome, it's Nvidia Shield's implementation works this way.

Also, I think it's impossible with any kind of streaming app, the only way to share the same PC without taking control of it, is creating a virtual machine, that way connected devices will take control of virtual PC inside of your host machine, but I never set up such stuff.

I figured this was the case after looking into it further. I had considered running it via VM but don't need the functionality thaaaaat much. Either way, doesn't change the fact that this is a fantastic piece of software.

This is a really awesome tool TY. It's allowing me to play D2 to hold me over until the remaster

Do you know if this works with the latest atmosphere release?

Dude, the update is actually godlike! Thank you so much for going so out of the way to make it user friendly was well. Having the actions listed at the top when going into mouse input mode is such a nice touch! Also, been actually working on a video demonstrating how remote play is insane on the switch. Moonlight being the biggest reason why. My main goal was to demonstrate how the switch can essentially play any console with moonlight and chiaki. Xbox(through moonlight using xbox game streaming(test app)(*allows for xbox series/one consoles to be streamed), chiaki(ps4/ps5), and through emulation and moonlight, almost any other platform(been testing wii u port of wind waker for example and it feels amazing on there). Also, of course, steam as well lol Didn't make the thumbnail yet but was thinking of having 4 switches each running the different platforms to hopefully look interesting. Here was one if the few images I took first starting kinda demonstrating the idea.(Pretend the switch lite is a regular switch too lol) If you think that sounds like a fine idea for a video concept I'll stick with it but if you prefer I should just discuss moonlight and also not associate it with the other things like chiaki, playstation/xbox, or emulation, I can totally respect that and have the focus be solely on steam and pc applications. I actually livestreamed me playing guilty gear using just the switch and a wireless headset so there is totally still content for me to discuss lol Especially now that docked mouse/keyboard control is a possibility. Either way i'm updating the video lol If anyone else has any ideas or input I would love to hear it as well.

This update is especially for you ;)

Thank you for even taking the time to look my the post and taking stuff into consideration. At this point it feels like the software can completely stand on its own and its pretty incredible. Thanks for the time you are putting into it. I rarely post so to get a reply and even features that i was inquiring about straight from you is nothing short of awesome! Dude, this software had me so excited, i tried to hardmod my switch lite and ended up killing it lol But that won't stop me from trying again to get moonlight running on a switch lite. I'll report again when I get another lite later this month cause moonlight on a switch lite is the dream right now lol

if you prefer not associate it with the other things
Thanks for your feedback, it was very pleasant to read it! I'm absolutely not against about comparing it with other apps, moreover, if there is something that I can add in app to make it better, I'd like to hear about it. I'm planning to make it available not only for Switch, but also for Win/Linux/Mac, i.e. I already can compile it on Mac and mouse with keyboard and gamepad works perfectly fine, but still I need to polish some stuff.

Did a test with a few games running through Teknoparrot. I can certainly confirm that this NRO handles streaming a lot nicer, didn't crash for me once, and not many dropped frames.

@XITRIX thank you, this app is awesome! I’ve been using it for hours and hours and it works perfectly.

Also, that’s the main reason why I’ve hacked my switch.

Keep up the great work!

Can anybody help me with Tales of Zestiria? It’ll act like it’ll load the stream but then it crashes and doesn’t load. Tales of Berseria and others games I tried works fine it’s just this one for some reason.

@XITRIX I wrote you by email to congratulate you because I didn't know you were in GBA-temp. I say it again here, thank you very much for this homebrew is the one that has worked best for me to stream from PC to nintendo switch. Thank you very much again.

@XITRIX I love the interface on this one way more than Moonlight-NX, but I have to use Moonlight-NX for casual HTPC use because it supports USB HID keyboard/mouse. Is it possible to implement support for that on Moonlight-Switch?
