When I boot up aurora I see Aurora, Dashlaunch, Freestyle 3, 360 Nand flasher, etc. How can I make it so the first folder that pops up is Xbox 360, then an Original Xbox, and then the homebrew apps I listed plus Emus. I've seen this configuration before and I don't really want all my games just randomly scattered around. I also must note that my current apps are all stored in my nand. I still haven't copied any games over yet because I do not want to make a mess. Thanks.

FSD is far more organized then Aurora imho.

Aurora just came with the xbox, I don't know how to feel about tinkering with it right now, but as of current I have 3 folders that Auorora is scanning from. Still no cover art since I haven't gave it internet but there is supposedly this thing called unity for cover arts and such.

Both Aurora and FSD can fetch cover art from Unity.
I think FSD is still able to fetch title updates from it as well.

Just make sure that you've set dashlaunch to block traffic to MS servers.

I don't use Aurora, only FSD. I know of no way to do this with FSD unless you maybe use a skin. the same may be true of Aurora, or you could've been looking at a different version than what you're using now, where maybe the tiles were in a different order. the only other thing I can suggest is that it may be possible to change the order through http (enable it, then type the ip address of the 360 into your pc's address bar, type in the username and password (you can choose this. not sure what it is for Aurora, but default for FSD is xbox for both iirc). there may be an option in there to change the order (you'll probably have to refresh the memory by reloading Aurora (Xbox Home probably in the guide) before the changes take effect.

Maybe I am wrong, I know aurora has Kinect categories, homebrew, and games, but I haven't seen a seperate category for OG and 360 games.

If only there's an option to create a new section in Aurora, name it whatever you want, and to choose which games be in it.. AFAIK there's no such option.

you can move games to other sections, at least with FSD, but I know of no way to create new sections. it does have 360, xbla, and xbox original games in separate tiles. it usually knows where to put each game, including homebrew and emulators, but you can manually change the section the game appears in if you press I think Y to go into settings for that particular game, then I think "move". if you put anything in the hidden category, the only way I know of to access it is via http. then, you can put it back if you change your mind. the hidden category is mostly good for multi-disc games, since discs should be swapped automatically. it's best just to have say disc 1 appear instead of the same game multiple times. it will swap discs even if you load disc 1, but the save is for disc 3.

How do I connect to the internet with Aurora without connecting to Xbox Live?

best way to have liveblock = true; livestrong = false . you can make both true, but livestrong will stop artwork from downloading iirc. this is in your launch.ini for dashlaunch. another suggestion is to go into the normal dash, the metro one, and block live access with parental settings. that will prevent any accidental connections to live. then, you can just have normal network settings and connect to ftp or http.

Can I turn liveblock on in aurora settings, what is Livestrong? Do you know what Xbox Unity does? Why is Aurora recommended over Freestyle?

no, liveblock is in your launch.ini, which is on the root of one of your drives probably. livestrong will prevent any communications online (not sure if it will block ftp and http, but it will block downloading artwork). xbox unity is the site you download artwork and title updates from. you can access it on the computer like any normal website, but both FSD and Aurora are linked to it if you put in your information (think you need to make an account first), Aurora is recommended probably because it has more features, while FSD is more streamlined (if all you want to do is play games mostly).

I mostly use FSD2, since my database (about 800 games) loads more quickly than FS3 or Aurora.

You can modify those settings on Dashlaunch, be careful do not enable/or disable something you shouldn't .. I'm currently away from home, maybe later but i could see what settings i have enabled and post them here for you.

All my apps were put into the 4gb nand. Is editing this ini something I could do through Aurora?

you can probably access the 4GB nand partition or make it accessible via ftp (not sure). you can on FSD anyway. I don't know where it's at in Aurora. you can make the change with something like notepad on the computer.

Both Freestyle and Aurora are cropped on my 1080p TV, any idea why and how I can fix it? On FSD 3 it says system link patched, any idea what this means?
