This started a few days ago, outta nowhere it started to freeze at random, at first i thought it was something inside the console or that it was overheating, but i dont think it was none of those, since i literally played resident evil 4 yesterday for atleast 8 hours and it didn't froze, and i've been using nintendont and playing luigis mansion and other gamecube games for hours and it hasnt froze, so far the freezes have only happened with mario galaxy and in the wii menu and they seem to happen randomly, i tried looking everywhere but people that usually have this problem seem to have it on every game they play and not just specific ones like mine.

Can someone help me out?

Hmm, I don't know if this will help you, I just did some searching and found someone with a similar issue.

(Edit, this article is also pretty old)

You also said that it was issues with specific games, maybe your games are corrupt or altered?
As someone who's done some research on the way "game game"'s (like iso's/wbfs)
I know that just a couple of bytes messed up in the wrong place can completely destroy a game.

As for the System Menu freezing? No Clue
You've said you've looked for overheating issues, so there might just be a small chance that was a fluke.

Try with diferent Usb/sd card. Maybe your device is the problem. Format in fat32/cluster size of 32k. Do a syscheck and post .csv aqui.

ive been trynna get a syscheck file for a while now but it just says Unable to initialise FAT file system i dont really know how to fix that could you help me out with that, ill try skyward sword and see if it also freezes

Already tried it, but it still doesn't work and zelda worked just fine for like 20 mins and then it died

Well. Try the games on different usbloaders (cfg, wiiflow, usbloaderGX). See if the problems persist.

It's probably the iso/wbfs, like suggests @WiiMiiSwitch . Make another, look for redump iso, or do your own dump of your original game.

I couldnt get syscheck to store the csv file on any of the usbs sorry, i had to take a pic of the logs

Hello,

given your syscheck report, the cios are installed differently from those we see mainly on the site.

in general the base 56 and 57 are installed on the cios 249 and 250.

I would advise you to reinstall these cios with this site ==>https://wii.guide/cios

or reinstall your cios with Modmii from @XFlak

then test your games again with your loaders.

wait i think it mightve been my usb maybe? i tested it on the main menu of the wii, i plugged my usb on the menu for bout 10 mins after the syscheck and it froze, after that i just removed it restarted and ive been on the menu waiting on it for atleast 2 hours and it hasnt crahsed yet

Strongly avoid usb keys (often black screen or does not start)

Recommend == <FAT32 external hard drive with your updated cios (249, 250, 251) and you will be fine
