So i want to completely delete everything like all my hacks and everything and just start from the beginning. My sd card is filled with sooo many things that i dont even know what is useful and what isnt. I dont know what my stock switch firmware is at or anything. I am just genuinely lost so what is the best way to completely wipe everything and then start again?

You need to give more details:
- Is your Switch patched or not? (Do you use a dongle or a Type-C cable when you are booting up your Switch?)
- Do you use emuNAND?

My switch is not patched. Its the day one switch and yes i use a dongle. I had auto rcm but i turned that off now. As for emuNAND i believe so yea? I followed this guide so i believe i do https://switch.homebrew.guide/

Do you have any saves/games/photos that you care about on your emuNAND?
There are games but i dont think its a big deal but i would want to have my save files if thats possible. If not then i am fine sacrificing them

Then you need to boot to your emuNAND and backup your saves via JKSV.

And after using jksv what should i do once i have everything backed up?
If you don't have any photos you want to save from SysNAND then just copy your save backups to your PC and then format the SD to FAT32. If you want to save photos from SysNAND then backup the album folder too.

and after formatting do i just follow the switch guide to re hack it from the beginning? and other question is that how i back up games as well or just the save files?

There is no need to format anything. Delete everything but your Nintendo and emuMMC folders and and extract the Atmopshere release zip in the root of your SD card. If you want Hekate, extract that too. Then inject the payload you need (fusee-primary if only using ams, hekate if using hekate). To update your firmware, just follow the steps in the guide.

That way you'll keep your games and your saves

Atmosphere is the Custom Firmware that let's you run homebrew, play backups, etc. and Hekate is the bootloader that lets you boot into Atmosphere in basic.
