I've been trying out different ways to install a 7 GB ROM on my Switch. Due to it being a file too large to be put on the SD Card, I tried both network and USB installation methods, to no avail. At one point, I think when I was checking if Tinleaf would work, the app warned me that it is not safe to install the NSZ file without patches (iirc; could've been something else that was missing). Seeing no other way out, I confirmed that I wanted to take the risk and the installation attempt froze immediately. I couldn't exit the app or go back to Home menu, so I hard-resetted the console.
When the emuNAND was restarted, everything seemed normal (I was actually surprised I was in emuNAND again) except the first "game" app displayed was a rotating load-like nothingness. I went into the software data management setting to see if anything had installed at all and whether I could delete whatever it was, and I uninstalled the empty game app embryo successfully.
It seems that when I play (other) games now, they occasionally slow down, though not crashing and only doing so temporarily. I also need a bit more patience to access the Tinfoil app.
What exactly did I confirm when it asked me if I was willing to take a risk, and is there a way this can be avoided?
