Hello, Everyone.

I have a Nintendo switch that cannot enter HOS or anything Hekate fails to read Emmc. Error is failed to init Emmc. So I assumed that the Emmc is broken then I need to change it with a new one but I didn't have Nand Backup.

Any solution that I can replace Emmc with a new one?

Thanks.

The emmc is connected to the APU, unless you have backup or you could not restore "full functionality". You can probably restore partial with a donor nand

do you at least have the switches Orginal Prodinfo? atmos auto backs this up when you boot in for the first time and would be on sd card

it would be either on the
SD: Root Dir
SD:atmosphere/automantic_backups

This would be better since it would give you online functionality over generating a fake one which will just get it booting again

Hello. I'm in the same situation as OP here but I do have all the keys from the broken Switch.

So, I obtained a Switch with a bad NAND. It's fried. No backup.
The usual method of rebuilding a NAND isn't working for this unit, unlike a unit I posted about fixing here in the recent past.

Yet, I do have the keys for it! Prod and BIS. I also have another NAND board to install into it.

At what step in the process linked above would I input the actual keys to avoid having a blank/generic serial number?

Thanks.

proinfo is a partition of HOS and is backup on the sd or when u backup the NAND. If you have this, and it's not working, then I would replace the emmc. Its modular, so it can be done without soldiering

Thanks for the reply!

I may have made a mistake, let me clarify.

The broken Switch in question has an EMMC that is bad and not fixable. It's not a question of NAND backup as it wouldn't let me back up when obtained.

Yet, it was initially in good enough shape for a full key dump. So I have whatever keys one would have when doing a backup but no NAND backup beyond BOOT0 and BOOT1.

I obtained another EMMC board but going through the normal steps of rebuilding a NAND (using Emmchaccgen, memloader & hackdiskmount) fails upon adding BIS Keys to Prodinfo and such. It says there is entropy in Hackdiscmount.

Do I have a misunderstanding of what I need to do to get this new EMMC board working with this Switch or am I missing a step?

Thanks.

EDIT: I think I got it. After watching a bit of trial and error I think I see where I can sub in the actual prodinfo (thankfully I'm a data backup psycho, lol) and keys to do a transfer/rebuild. If I need any help I'll come back and ask.
