So I'm trying to mod my switch and when I open cfw (emuMMC) in hetake it says unknown pkg1 version (i have done everything backing up everything and installing partition idk if i have missed a step) but today i wanted to play pkmn sw and sh and i found out there was a new firmware but i had put everything on my sdcard already and i think that might be stopping it from working but i dont know how to downlaod the newest pkg1 version how do i do that? (also i think this is the right forum with the rights tag)

also sorry if my english is bad but i am from romania and just recently came to ireland
pkg1 error means either you updated a new v2 switch with choi which bricks the boot0/1 which causes this or it could be the build of atmosphere you have isn't able to boot bc you firmware is newer than the atmosphere build. Try a clean boot0/boot1 if not then download 11.0.1 fw and try that.

Do not use choidujournx. In fact do not downgrade sysnand if you are not familiar with the process. Just wait for the next version of atmosphere.

ChoiDujour is very bad, please use daybreak instead, it causes headaches that are not worth it.
You can't use Daybreak without being able to boot CFW. I'm talking about ChoiDujour, not ChoiDujourNX. It's the only way that can be done on a PC. I don't really recommend it though because it's a hassle, but he doesn't have any other options besides waiting.

using daybreak but downgrading won't fix it, the fuse burns when it's updated so it may not work.
That is incorrect on both fronts. Firstly, he would not be able to downgrade with Daybreak because there was no way for him to boot CFW anyway when he updated. Secondly, fuses only prevent downgrades if you boot normally however Fusee Gelee allows us to bypass the fuse check and load any firmware we want. How else do you think we update without burning fuses? It operates under the same principle.

I said downgrading won't fix it bc the burnt fuses, I assume if he can run homebrew he can boot payloads so dg'ing wouldn't be a prob. I think we are on the same page just a misunderstanding.

Those files are copyrighted so they cannot be shared on this forum even through PM. You can regenerate them with ChoiDujour though.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
