Homebrew Question RetroArch GameCube Controller Support

I recently bought an unpatched Switch, 512GB MicroSD card and payload injector/jig combo. As I'm waiting for it all to arrive, I'm wondering whether or not RetroArch has support for authentic GameCube controllers through the official GameCube controller USB adapter. I loved the GCN controller support for emulation on my jailbroken Wii, so this would be super nice as well for docked mode. Anybody have some insight?
