Homebrew Question Can you boot homebrew without a dongle?

Hi
I'm pretty good with tech I'm just under ALOT of stress right now. Stress is an understatement.
Anyway,it would seem aparent I've lost my dongle. I only got my homebrew switch recently have not really learnt much about it at all. I could learn easy enough just as I said I'm beyond stressed.
Point here is I've lost my dongle and the thing that goes on the side. Think I left it at the hospital. So it's gone. I need to boot it asap. What would be the fastest way to get it working. Is there another way without doing any physical hardware changes. Basicly what I want to know is is there another software or just anyway to do this today fast as coz I need this running pretty much now. I'll keep reading threads here but the ones I've read here so far as not answering my question fully and half them turn into debating arguments. Lol.

Yes you can use your phone and an app such as rekado for android or nxboot for apple. Or a PC ..
You will also need a usb c to whatever other connection for it to work.

I can keep booted to CFW pretty much anywhere i bring my switch because of my phone

But if AutoRCM is not enabled a jig i still needed.

Bend a metal paper clip to bridge the two points. Took several tries but you only have to boot it once. Then use the hekate payload to install auto-RCM and you never need a jig again.

Personally I'd just mod the right joycon.

I have 3 modded ones (original, splipad, vifefox) and not having to unrail them each time is great.

Tinfoil trick is lame. (Unless it really is your only option)

As for the dongle:
They aren't really that expensive,
Also, as mentioned PC/iOS/Android boot.

Still easier than keeping an untethered Jailbreak alive...

Fastest way is to get something conductive, a USB-C cable, and something that can push payloads such as a phone or computer.

To put it as simply and easily as possible, you always need two things to boot CFW. First, you need a method to trigger RCM. The most accessible method is to simply short the required pins on the joycon rail. Like many have said, either tin foil or a paperclip will do just fine. You just have to make sure that you short the correct pins. The second is a method to inject the payload. Again, like people have said, you can use any computer to do this or your cell phone. Before my current setup, I had a keychain RCM jig that I always had on me, and I pretty much always had my phone and a type-c to type-c cable. There are a handful of apps for phones that work, but I always used Rekado. Works flawless. For the future, you can get an RCM jig with a keychain hole for next to nothing on AliExpress or eBay.

For the distant future, you should seriously consider a hardmod. I have a device in mine, and it is super nice. I am using a super simple bootloader. Holding volume up triggers RCM, and injects payload.bin on the root of the Switch's SD card. With this, there are no additional tools needed to trigger RCM on the go, and you can even update CFW quick and easy. The install process is straightforward and well-documented, but difficult with no experience with extremely small solder points. However, don't let that deter you. If you take your time, and you have a steady hand, it's not nightmarish, and you will learn a skill that you can use going forward. As someone who has used both for a rather extended period of time, I will NEVER go back to a normal payload injector. Not needing to worry about carrying anything with the Switch is super convenient (even vs the now-defunct Dragoninjector), and it's an awesome party trick for those unfamiliar.

I know you're looking for a short-term quick solution, but I'd recommend getting an internal chip installed. I installed a trinket m0 a while back and it's great never having to worry about a dongle or jig. It's intricate work though and good soldering skills are required.
