Hello.
I can finally release the Super Mario 3D World (Bowsers Fury) save converter.

With this converter you can convert Wii U to Switch and vice versa.
It is also possible to merge a Wii U save with an existing Switch save so you
can keep your progress in Bowsers Fury.

It is pretty much self-explanatory.
Start the converter, load either a Wii U or a Switch save and hit the Convert button.

If you want to merge the saves, load a Wii U save first and then click the Merge menu item
to load an existing save from the Switch, then simply click Convert merge

Excellent to see, thank you for this. I was half tempted to start the game over again, but honestly the Mario games are forming an ever-growing queue at this point, still gotta 100% Galaxy before starting on Sunshine.

Nice! I was hoping for such a tool to spawn out of nowhere! I spent so many hours on the Wii U getting so many collectibles with Luigi. Glad they can be transfered over to the Switch, thank you! =)

Great tool, i knew it'd exist on gbatemp , but the backups i have from wii u are under *.sav extension , not bin. help !

I have over 65 hours of gameplay with my 5 year old daughter on on WiiU and still didn't 100% it... ...she want's to play the same thing on Switch and she just HAS to play with Rosalina.

I was thrilled to find this, but I can't get it work... I tried the merge with my save file but it just don't work for me. I used Savemanager on Wii U and JKSV but nothing, and Checkpoint after but nothing again. The app seem to work and no errors appear but when I restore it, all stays the same. Am I missing something?

How do you get the save games off the wii u and onto your pc to convert to switch and then how do you get them onto your switch after they are converted

Just tried this out converting an old save from Cemu and importing it on my Switch. It works perfectly! I'm glad someone took the time to make this tool, now I might finally get around to beating this game lol. Thanks!

Can this be used to copy a specific save slot only? The game allows for 3 profiles, so I want to transfer, say, profile 1 from Wii U into profile 3 on Switch. That way I get to keep my current playthrough on switch as well as my Wii U save file for posterity.

Sorry for the noob question but how do I transfer the converted file from my PC to my Switch? I was able to convert the Wii U save game data to the Switch version save game data (thank you so much for creating this amazing tool!) but the Switch is not recognizing my USB & checking online it looks like the only way to transfer save game data to the Switch is from another Switch? I have physical copies that I purchased of both Super Mario 3D World Wii U & Switch. Any help would be appreciated!

Dont' try to use JKSV to restore the save, it messes up the whole game data.
Use Checkpoint instead:

- Play the game one level
- Create a backup
- On the SD Card, in the save folder you just backed up, replace the GameData.bin file with the file from the converter
- Restore the backup using Checkpoint
- Happy Gaming
