Hekate
Partition sd first then choose 29gb full and then create emuMMC
So, that's the reason of your 16 mb unallocated. If you want to acces your sd card under your PC, use Hekate usb features with your switch connected via usbC cable.

Okay but the thing is that i can still copy files to the sd via pc, But i will try what you say if it's not to hard
to figure out. It's only the 16mb thats not accessible.

If you can still access your sd on PC, then no problems. If you need regular access to your sd , I highly recommend using usb transfer, as the switch slot card is "extremely weak", and you will be ending with a replacement of the sd reader.

The 16mb unallocated is the "way" of Hekate for creating an EmummC, , to "improve". Don't delete it. Doesn't harm.
Nothing complicated under Hekate, go to tools and usb. You should run a script (on your pc) before , only once, to improve transfer speeds. The script is available on the official Github of Hekate.

You need to start Hekate “straight “ from a dongle, do you have one ? Or only booting your switch from tegra ?

I have sx core

What will happen if i replace my Sx boot.dat with this one
https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate/issues/473

And if i do how do i boot up, if you know how
Dunno, sorry, not sx core user, and It will be very useful when actually asking for help, to detail your “configuration “ (Erista, patched or unpatched, Mariko, sxcore...), just for the answers to be “accurates” and useful.

Thanks for your help, but i think i will stick to the pc to sd transferr
BTW i have used my sd in and out in the sd reader for over a year and a half with no problems.
But thanks anyway.

That’s fine, no worries, I just personally hate to have to remove my sd card when others solutions are available.

Hi, I'm completely new to the switch scene, but I saw a switch lite with a sx lite chip and thought it might be an interesting buy. However, I'm having trouble finding information on the whole Xecuter modding scene, so I have a few questions maybe someone can help me with.
Is the company still in business?
Does that matter? Do I need any software/firmware from them?
Is the chip just a "way into" safe mode of the console, and therefore everything else is the same as if I had a non-patched console?
Are there any advantages/disadvantages to having this chip?

Thanks in advance

  • From the little information we have, we are assuming the company is still alive because their sites, forum, and Discord are still open but due to the recent arrests of key members from their organization, they may not stay in business that much longer
  • Yes and no. If you want to exclusively run their CFW, you need to download their software. And while some people keep backups, if it is not updated regularly, you will not be able to launch it on higher firmware versions. However there are ways of using other CFW with their chip so it is not the end of the world if you cannot use their CFW
  • No, the chip just "glitches" the console into booting CFW. It is a completely different method than the exploit used on unpatched consoles
  • The advantage is that the chip makes launching into a CFW resemble a coldboot because it requires no external interaction or modification. The disadvantage is that its not as elegant launching into other CFW besides SX OS but that is a small price to pay to be able to hack otherwise un-hackable Switch units

I've been checking various guides/threads before I make an attempt to 'clone' my sd card. The last one I linked seems to be hit nor miss. Not sure about the following guide.
https://birbchirp.gitbook.io/switchguide/misc-useful-stuff/migrating-emu-new-sd

Would migrating your emummc to a new sd card interfere in someway with the original card working? I want to know if I'd still be able to use the original SD card or if the process somehow messes with pointers or something and makes it so in the end you're just going to be left with the new SD card. The reason I want to do this is so I can just swap between cards depending on the games or homebrew setup I want to run on EmuMMC more like a stock switch.

Hi, just installed latest hakate/atmosphere last night for the first time, tried some stuff of the home brew store, when I launch some stuff I get error 2168-0001, need to tap power then it restarts, any ideas what this could be to this new switch noob please?

Looks like you didn’t install latest Atmosphere (I see 0.16.2 ) witch doesn’t support firmware 11.0.1
