Hello

Yesterday I have my Switch Homebrewed with this manual:
switch homebrew guide (sorry can not hyperlink, newbie, first site on google)

my data for the SD-card I got from sdsetup (i think you know the site)

I have also successfully created an emuMMC, started it and then tried to install a game (NSP) with GoldLeaf.

But I got a message like: Invalid NCA (might mean missing sigpatches or a too low firmware)

If I tried it on the PC with Goldleaf & Quark, the same message appeared.

According to the internet I have to update sigpatches, but I think I should already have the newest ones (I just chose the standard SD setup) and otherwise I wouldn't know how to do it?

3 different games (release 2018 or older) all from the same source none worked (all NSP). Could it be because it is from a US site and I am in Europe (European Switch)?

I am a little bit out of advice.

Thanks for any help

Infos:

Goldleaf v8

Firmware: 10.2.0

atmosphere: 0.15

Hekate 5.3.4

standard for me didn't have sigpatches
Try to reinstall sigpatches
If they still dont work make sure you select the one you're using. If you go to launch in hekate its the ams/hekate sigpatches
if you use the payloads and fusse primary, Select that instead. Keep in mind you have to have the same sigpatches as your ofw and ams version

SDSetup doesn't provide patches anymore so you have to grab the latest manually.

are you using atmosphere? try injecting fusee primary as payload then try again with goldleaf. That worked for me.

Fusee primary only works if using the fusee patches which not everyone has. Also Goldleaf is arguably the worst title installer.
i dont really understand why goldleaf is bad other than it could install unsafe nsp's (from what i heard), but tinfoil is the only other option i know but the dev sucks from what i heard because of reasons and blocking the app if hekate is found on the sd card.

other than that, if you install latest sigpatches and use hekate, you need to edit your hekate_ipl.ini i think. i dont know if booting straight to ams with the primary payload activates those sigpatches tho.

Goldleaf is not only the slowest title installer (last I checked, it was single-threaded) but it is also the buggiest in that it has never even achieved a 1.0 release. There are other options such as the actual Tinfoil and a real spiritual successor in the form of Awoo Installer. You don't need to edit the hekate_ipl.ini with the latest patches. In fact, once you're setup, you never need to touch that file ever again unless you want to modify your boot procedures. The hekate_ipl.ini file has nothing to do with patches.

okay, understood. i never really found any other alternative title installer even though i searched for it. thats why i only know tinfoil and goldleaf. and in hekate i thought i had to edit the .ipl file with adding a line with "kip patches" or something to make sigpatches work... i dont know, i think i messed something up in my head, my bad
