Hello all,
I'm planning to go online with my modchipped Mariko and i want to confirm that the steps I'm performing is correct. I am currently running 10.2.0 and would like to bring it to 11.0.0.and I understand that this question have been asked many times. Keep EmuNAND offline for all homebrew related things and keep SysNAND clean. This is what i have been doing. For EmuNAND, I've set a fake proxy and airplane mode on but have enabled Bluetooth and NFC as on. For SysNAND, I don't see how any homebrew could have reached there for a Mariko system. Unless there is something that have leaked into SysNAND or something in the SD card that can be picked up on but that then raises the questions of privacy issues. Would my Switch be considered as "safe" for online play?
Below is the steps I am planning on performing the update.
Update EmuNAND
1. Update the SXOS boot file to Beta 3.1.0
2. Download the NS firmware 11.0.0 (md5:7330b3c560f80caeb2fa3d831d5203f2 of ZIP)
3. Follow the guide for "Updating EmuNAND" in https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-noob-friendly-firmware-update-guide.575017/ using ChoiDujourNX
Update SysNAND
1. Boot into "Boot Original FW" in the SXOS menu
2. Run the normal update process
3. Go to system and turn off Auto-Update Software
Please let me know if this is the correct process.
Not sure if i should open up another thread or just add it to this one:
Could just be me picking up on minor issues.
Every time I play any games in EmuNAND, i seem to pick up minor graphical issues and or sound issues. Almost like a texture didn't load properly for a split second or the sound might stop pause for a second then come back on (hard to reproduce) I'm not sure if this is a memory card loading issue since NAND is faster then SD or if this is considered as normal or just a minor bug that people just don't really care about.
Many Thanks
