Hello, I'm trying to repair a Switch. I replaced the BQ24193 and all the resistors & caps around it (from a dead Switch, they were removed from a previous repair), but with 3 different batteries it charges them at 3 different values: 0,25A, 0.9A or 2A.
I never see the transition to 0A then the fast charge.

Also I saw the "Nintendo" logo one time but it switched off just after, and now I can't get anything on the screen.

This is not necessarily wrong depending on how charged those batteries were & assuming they are good batteries. Does it show anything on the screen when charging? Can you boot into hekate?

I can boot on hekate, but even with its latest release, when I use the "launch" option the Switch shows the "Nintendo" logo then a black screen.
I have to press the power button ~15 seconds before I can power it on again.

Edit, some more tests:
  • with hekate, black screen whether I start the stock FW or Atmosphere (no backlight)
  • with fusee-primary and Atmosphere, black screen after the black & white Atmosphere logo (no backlight)
  • I measured 3.3V on the pins 5 & 6 of the M92T36, 15V on its pin 9: I guess it's fully working, or is there still a possibility for it to malfunction?

What does hekate report for battery stats?

I would say they are correct?

It shows 0ma charging & charge terminated but looks like it is plugged in charging. Is this plugged into a computer or a charger?
You're right that's strange, it was on my computer.

I tried with an other battery, here on my computer:

And with the official AC adapter, but it capped to 1A?

But it's still not booting.

Can you boot into Linux? I recently had a bad fuel gauge keep the system from booting into the switch firmware, but it booted into Linux. It read fine in hekate but was not reporting correctly in Linux. A new fuel gauge corrected mine.

Probably not your problem but it's free to check

I just tried with L4T 3.2, and it seems to have the same issue. I can see the purple splash "switchroot UBUNTU" for 2 seconds then black screen again.

Is it possible to have a bad component (the M92T36?) that is half-working? Like just enough to boot in RCM mode but nothing more?

If it won't boot into Linux I would definitely be looking at a component. Linux takes a while to actually boot. I'd make sure that bq24193 is seated properly & soldered well. I've never seen an m92t36 cause those symptoms.

I soldered a new BQ24193 before I created this topic; today I removed and put it back again (without changing it) with hot air and checked each of its pins with my soldering iron, the problem is still the same.
I checked again the capacitors but none of them are shorted.
I really don't know what I should do, it seems so close and yet so far to make it work again!

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it

I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
