Hacking R4 clone or Acekard clone?

I got the infamous (for being crap) R4i Deluxe that unlike the R4 deluxe, can't use YSmenu, not even as dual boot.

Is this because this one is a Acekard clone instead of a R4 clone?

So I tried a lot of alternate firmwares and the best result was with AKAIO.

280797-AKAIO 1.8.6a.R4U boots but gives me me the Clone 1 error.

"It may not be a genuine Acekart. Please contact your vender or acess our website.

www acekart com"

Is there any way to trick this firmware unto accepting my crappy flashcard?

Is a crappy R4 clone I bought ages ago but I got a 3DS compatible card nowadays so no big deal.

Plus I still have the original R4 and it works wonders with Wood on it.

Funny enough it can boot in a hacked 3DS with Luma. Still no way to make it run more modern games.

The main problem is that the stupid card firmware doesn't let any other create or edit files without errors. Even NesDS and Lameboy can't create savestates or save files that work.

Unlike the R4deluxe the R4ideluxe is a Clone 1 Acekard from 2009/2010.

Is not a R4 clone but an Acekard 2i clone.

You can try to run lameboy or nesds with the hbmenu. That might fix some homebrew related issues.

Link? Because Ysmenu and TTmemu definitely don't work.

And to think I had an even crappier card that I threw away.

Then again I have both an original R4 with Wood and a R4 SDHC so trying to fix this card is more out of boredom than anything else. Most roms predating the DSi do work at least.

I will give it a try but again unless hb-menu somehow got root/administration rights is not likely to work.

The firmware doesn't let any rom that's not a NDS rom create anything but save files.

Anyway I downloaded hbmenu, extracted it to the card and the test nds file works but I don't see any *.nds file to launch it.

Is an Acecard clone, if this is supposed to be for a R4 clone it won't work. And hbmenu apparently doesn't have a nds launcher.

It works with every DLDI compatible card. It can launch homebrew, no roms.

I think in some cases you have to rename a few files.

Edit: The R4ideluxe is THE most crappy Acecard clone ever, nothing but the original firmware works well on it.
