How does the modded Switch experience compare to the modded n3DS? Taking all aspects into consideration like battery life, controls, quality of emulation of other systems, exclusives and generally how you feel which would you place 1st and which comes 2nd and why?

3ds is easier to hack and easier to maintain and harder to get banned. It's worse overall for software emulation but it can run DS, DSi, and GBA games perfectly with hardware. It's more portable as well.

Switch is more powerful and arguably has a better library of games. It also has the advantage of being commercially active.

What hacked system you will like best will probably come back around to what system you prefer in a legit sense.

Modded Erista(v1) Switch is the best in my opinion. The battery life can be better on n3ds and it can play ds games better but overall Switch Modding is better. On the emulation side you have a separate easy-to-install OS, Lakka. Switch is easier to hack if you have an unpatched one (but you can hack the patched one too via modchip). Yes, 3ds has good exclusives to but, to me Switch exclusives are better in general.

Easily the Switch because it's so much more powerful for emulation, it makes a good media player, and you can even run Android on it. It's also great with the Steam Link app.

Switch it is. 3Ds games aren't really full fledged games, but for the switch you can play some AAA games run emulators, and changed to docked mode.

As an owner of both. I would say the 3DS wins only in pocketability and battery life. Switch has the following thing in its favor:

1. Better analogs
2. Better TV out (3DS has to do it through some mod or wirelessly)
3. No issues on maximum number of games installed (Can be worked around with multiple emunands or that app that swaps folders. Emunand is easier)
4. Better game library (when modded)
5. Has better emulators
6. Can boot linux and android.

Cons:
1. Needs a mod chip to boot without a dongle/web browser exploit
2. Not very pocketable
3. Poor battery life
4. Joycon drift, SD card port will eventually fail if SD card is ejected way too many times
5. No drawing applications
