that is also a good point, but the Graphics and Audio are not. So what is actually being recompiled then?
I have no clue. I mean it’ll be amazing to see wii games come to switch natively (well better emulation) without buggy emulators, but ig we’ll have to wait and see.

Yes we will see. Reddit is currently a mess because people are saying there will be a day one patch or something like that. Also the new system update is just way too close for someone not to check out. I'm interested to see if there is a change in performance with the system updates. again might totally be arbitrary but who knows

There's hashes other than DolHash so that doesn't work

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

has anyone figured out what hashing algorithm is used? looks like SHA-1 but that's not it

Yeah, if we can reverse engineer and figure out the source of the hashes from the Sunshine ROM they include, then we should be able to mimic and generate the appropriate hashes for any ROM we point the "rom.json" file to and have the game boot (so long as you fix the corresponding config and hash files to match your new naming schemas and game ID references)

So when you guys talk about having a "New game" and generating new hashes, are we still talking about replacing Sunshine or adding new games entirely?

Replacing. "NewGame" is just a placeholder name for any game you would use to replace Sunshine with. The hashes have to correspond with the new .gcn file you inject. We don't know how the hashes are generated at the moment.

The pro controller can emulate the wiimote but it just runs like the right nun chuck and isn't great for playing the game. It plays fantastic with the joy cons though, I was surprised at the accuracy for having no IR sensor the only thing is you have to centre the pointer more often. I'm certain there will be a port of skyward sword at some point now :)

yeah, the gyro controls actually have been impressing me a lot. Very responsive/accurate

Remove the first 100 bytes from the file and then generate the hash using SHA-1.

You can make a try with Super Mario Sunshine because we already have that hash.

Not sure if that method was used with these games but you can research about it

If this is it, by god, genius.

Wonder if it can be packed as their own nsps to be installed on the home screen. That would be so dope.

Yeah but I need somewhere to exclaim my anger. There's probably a place but man I'm just annoyed.
that's understandable bro have you tried playing the game to calm down tho like yeah it's overpriced but it's still fun
