Totatully Noob question. I jailbreak several ipad, rooted several Android devices, but just bought a switch lite online which should arrive tomorrow.

Is there a way to install custom firmwire / jailbreak on a switch lite and play cracked games without being banned by Nintendo (account, device) ?

I'm not in the switch scene so I don't know exactly, but It seems like there's no software way to install cfw on new switch/switch lite. You can still install modchip on it and install CFW that way, and lots of people in here did that.

Also probably yes, You can avoid bans by using a certain DNS that will block datas that goes to nintendo's server.(Ofc they will ban you if you use a cheat while playing an online game) Not sure about pirated games.

It's not to cheat online, I'm not interested into that. It remove all the fun.

But I just paid 450/500€ for a switch and 7 games I bought on Amazon And I would like to be able to play pirated game to at least test them.

Modship. That's the starting point I needed. Thanks.

You can install Incognito to your sysMMC. Just make sure you have a sysMMC backup from before you installed Incognito stored someplace safe. Alternatively, you can use Atmosphere's built in Incognito function.
Didn't knew Atmosphere had it. Is it worth using both or just the atmosphere is enough?

Greets, I have a pair of Questions.
I was more or less informes of the scene of 3DS, actually hacked a bunch for friends and family.
Neverg get interested on Switch but a Friend asked me to hack his day 1 device, read the instructions, doing the paperclip thing, booted on hekate, make an EmuMMC(?), Copy the backup, install Atmosphere and proceed to launch and test emulators, MelonDS, PSnes, PFBA and mGBA run so well, have issues with Standalone PPSSPP but will test that later.
Cartridges ask for update but im using the suggested DNSs and and avoid use those games then.

I haven't that much free time like when I was in college and seems I can't find an answer but here we go;

Im supposed to be on emunand, but on 3DS the emunand was like bought a new device, make an accout, a mii and configure stuff.
Then you booted on sysnad taking the SD.
This Swtich thing had all his games, username, wifi options and stuff, I could boot homebrew and it tells me Im on atmosphere, don't want him banned, actually he pretends to bought a second switch and use his account and eShop content there, but appears im on his same account even if im in Atmosphere, what to do here?
(We didn't even backup his SD because it was like 90gb of games and he didn't care about it or his saves, telling me he can download it later and he enjoys play again his games)...

Other thing, could Switch on atmosphere run cartridges, if I install the updates via nsp files (haven't installed any nsp, just tested emulators so far) or im forced to install the games and tell him to use his cartridges on the other switch exclusively?

Without all the games I uninstalled from the Switch menu I feel like I ruined his console instead of making it better.

Tl;dr how to delete his account or what to do with that emummc thing, and can atmosphere launch cartridges?

Hi guys, I am pretty new with switch hacking and got a question about saves between EmuNAND & SysNAND.
How could I transfer my SysNAND games saves to my EmuNAND ?

I have seen somewhere that I could use JKSV to backup my saves, but I mean, I must launch it from my SysNAND... Is there a risk of ban by doing that ?
Don't know if this could help but I am on SX Core...

Thanks :)

Then only Tinfoil's Incognito?
I would use either Incognito (recommended) or Atmosphere's Incognito function.

While 90DNS typically works, it can go offline, leaving your Switch offline. Download speeds are also slower with 90DNS.

You need to use JKSV to dump your sysMMC save files, and you need to restore those save files using JKSV on your emuMMC.

You are unlikely to get banned merely using JKSV on your sysMMC while offline. That being said, if you want to be paranoid, you can make a sysMMC backup, dump your games with JKSV offline, and then restore the sysMMC backup from before you used JKSV.

Thank you for this quick reply :) !

I got an other question. I already know that ban causes on switch are pretty fuzzy. Are risks important by using network with some homebrew like HBG or this kind of thing, with Incognito + 90DNS ? (I'm ok with 90DNS I leave near 90DNS servers)

Furthermore what about playing online on SysNAND or EmuNAND ? (I guess that playing on EmuNAND is too risky but I want to be sure !)

If you want to play online with legitimately purchased games, you should use a clean sysMMC (no hacks or CFW) to play those games online, and you should use a dirty emuMMC that's kept offline or has Incognito installed or all hackery.

So, if I get it right, things I should do are (in order):
  • Recovery my saves from the CFW with JKSV (CFW share the same saves as the OFC right ?)
  • Inject saves to EmuNAND
  • Clean Up SysNAND maybe ? (This is fuzzy to me, after SX Core modchip installation and licence activation through the CFW, is OFW affected and have to clean it up ? Or it is the same as before and we don't risk anything ?)
  • Boot to OFC firmware to play my games online ?
Thank you for your time ;)

Ok, i managed to update Atmosphere and FW to 10.1.

Now my question is, when trying to instal a NSP through Goldleaf and Goldtree via USB, sometimes i get an error "Input magic mismatch".

Already changed the USB cable to a new one, so thats not it.

Any ideas?

Also, is there an easier way or homebrew to instal NSPs? Goldleaf is very slow.

That's pretty much it. If you want to do the "clean up sysMMC" step, you should make a new sysMMC backup before you run CFW/JKSV on your sysMMC.

blawar's Tinfoil is recommended.

Using SXOS non-hidden emunand..
I have tried to move the entire contents of one sd card to a new bigger one,but the emunand does not boot or even show the Nintendo splash screen..
If I get the Sx boot menu up and choose boot sysnand or boot cfw emunand disabled from they menu both work..

can you not just copy the card when it’s a not hidden emunand?

Is it a partition based emuMMC?
