Hey there, as of an hour or so ago, I am now the owner of the hacks.guide domain and GitHub organization. I'm the new maintainer of sites such as 3DS Hacks Guide. Nintendo Homebrew on Discord will remain the primary place for assistance.

While things are being transferred, the site may have issues, so please be patient.

Here's Plailect's response from the Nintendo Homebrew server:

Hey all, like @ihaveahax said, I've transferred ownership of the domain and github org. I've been somewhat neglecting the sites for a while and decided to let the NH team take over given how well they've been managing their Switch guide. Hopefully you'll start to see many positive improvements to all of the guides in the future

While I am very thankful for everyone who has donated and otherwise shown support over the years (it helped me afford rent and food as a student :P), I'll be taking a full-time job soon and won't need the generosity. Instead, the donations page will be updated to point to the awesome NH people to help them afford infrastructure things like VPSs and domain names!

That upshoot in traffic these last few weeks was me. You're more than welcome for the renewed relevance!

Thanks to the old owner for the awesome work. It really made opening up my 3DS with CFW a lot easier than I initially thought. Congrats on the full-time position.

Hopefully the new owner gets at least as much joy from the site as you did. Congratulations on the position.

NH has been aware ever since the exploits went public. We’re working on changes to the guide right now.

Thank you as always my good man

I wrote a tutorial for this here.

Whilst I appreciate your effort (and hopefully others do too), "the guide" is a legendary stalwart and always the go to. I don't wish to undermine you in any way so hope you'll accept my reply in the good grace that it's meant :)

I wrote this tutorial because it is way simpler than the guide. With my tutorial, you can quickly install CFW on any 3DS.

I think most people would rather wait for the browserhax instructions to be posted on the official 3ds.hacks.guide or go with the other tried and true hacking methods. Also, setting up browserhax on the official guide gives time for the helpers on Nintendo Homebrew discord, r/3DShacks, GBAtemp, and other 3DS forums to become well acquainted and be on the same page with how this new method works and any potential pitfalls to watch out for when assisting first timers hacking their 3DS systems with it.

The problems with your instructions is that it's a second hand rehash of their GitHub pages (why not read the source material?) and that it's a hard to read wall of text. Last of all, as a new user your previous posting antics and lack of reputation does not inspire confidence in others to recognize you as trust worthy.

If you don't want to see your efforts go to waste and wish to earn some good will and name recognition, perhaps sign-up for a github account, see if the Guides_3DS is looking for help to work on the upcoming browserhax pages, and if they are, volunteer your time and effort in what needs to be worked on.
