Hi again. I did exactly as instructed, however, When I try to restore it from the automatic back up from my folder on my computer I get the code error 1004. I also thank you in advance for your help.
prodinfo must be the one that you already got before you booting incognito and if you have restored your original firmware just go to setting and check the switch serial number

Hi
. I got someone to help me. Turns out, I didn’t have updated version of NXmanger. After that, it worked like a charm

is there a way to extract the prodinfo.bin from an older nand backup for restore with Incognito_RCM? I have a console here that has no identity, but I have an older backup of a bricked nand of this console. Maybe there is still a prodinfo there that could be used to restore the identity. I have made the console executable again via bypass downgrade, but had to find out that it has no identity.

XAW00000000000 means it's after the installation of Incognito. If you cannot get the prodinfo backup from the previous owner, this Switch will never connect to Nintendo's online services.
This just made me think if new identities could be generated for "banned users"

Probably not.

Thank god for incognito.

Hello I have the same problem I have lost the prod info file that I have made in incognito but I have the prodinfo file 32kb from atmosphere. I tried to restore it with nxnandmanager but I always get an error not a valid Nx storage. Can someone help me please

I think my prodinfo.bin is corrupt I have restore it from my formatted usb. is there a way to repair it and then restore it again?
I also have found another prodinfo.bin and when I try to restore it I got the error trying to restore decrypted content to encrypted content. Is there away to encrypt the file?

If you don't have a valid PRODINFO dump, then your console is now effectively banned. Next time, use 90DNS instead of Incognito as it is much safer and accomplishes the same goal.

-1004 means invalid input/output file
Get the latest release for NxNandManager (your's too old) and name your prodinfo file exactly "PRODINFO.bin".

Yep I remember. You help me, and I appreciate it. Thank you so much

I’m in the proccess of creating a prodifo.bin from the stored cal0.bin Dumped from the hekate 5.3.2 payload under console info then dumped which shows the xaw00000000 serial nbr and editing it with a binary editor on windows and then save the file and rename prodinfo.bin and restore with NxNandManager I’ve literally been at this a month no biskeys wiped out, no backup nothing all from scratch but got the biskeys back and everything it’s lengthy I have so many bookmarks but hopefully This will work I believe it should in theory

Update....Sorry about multiple msgs signing up gave me errors and threw multiple responses I apologize but this is big!... no major editing was needed convert the cal.bin file to cal.txt and pull up in notepad on left side as shown edit the 000000000 to the serial nbr on your switch and save and convert back to .bin file and flash with NxNandManager For prodinfo. Not bad for a noob

Uh, dunno if you're aware, but just restoring the serial number won't do anything, it's not really used for anything.

Heh not sure if that idiot user deleted his account just because he was proven wrong but its even funnier that GBATemp still shows his username as long as someone quoted his post before his account was deleted:rofl2:

All right, first, make a full backup of your Switch using either Hekate or NxNand Manager 3 (I would recommend NxNand since it can create the backup directly on your computer).

Once it's done, follow these steps :
1. Turn off your Switch and boot it on RCM mode
2. Use TegraRCM to dump your bis keys on a txt file
3. Use TegraRCM to mount emmcRawNAND
4. Use NxNand to mount the physical "Linux Storage" nand of your Switch
5. Import the bis keys from the txt file you created
6. Right click on PRODINFO > Backup > Back it up just in case
7. Right click on PRODINFO > Restore > select your atmosphere autobackup
8. If you have warning messages, just skip them
9. Reboot the Switch
10. ??????
11. Profit.

If you need more precisions, just ask

I would like to thank you for this. I accidentally trashed my prodinfo with my boot0 and 1 and raw.bin. I was lucky mine had my serial number instead of the 0000000. I followed this and got got it back. In atmosphere it shows all 000000 and in stock it shows original serial. thanks 1000

Follow these steps :
1. Make a rawNand Backup from hekate or NxNand
2. Boot your Switch into RCM Mode then use TegraRCM to mount emmc_rawNand
3. Use NxNand to a. mount the nand, b. backup the actual Prodinfo partition (just in case, even if its a modified one)
4. Restore the Prodinfo partition from your 32kb file

You have 1 out of 2 chances that the backup file has been made after the Switch have been "anonymized", but try it anyways, as long as you made a rawNand backup, it's no big deal to manipulate the Nand at this level.

I need help restoring my automatic backup as well, do you have a discord I can use to ask for help?

Put your prodinfo_backup.bin to the root of your sdcard and use Incognito_RCM to restore it.

I get an error that Incognito_RCM needs to be updated or something about new firmware... It's version 0.6.1 and I'm on 11.0.1. Should be up to date. My two files are "XAW1005742XXXX_PRODINFO.bin" and "XAW1005742XXXX_BISKEYS" from my atmosphere backup folder. I am having the same issue of my system serial reading XAW000000... and can't seem to get a restore to work.

I'll PayPal $40 to the person who walks me through what apps/steps I need to take and what files to have in what dir in order for incognito to be able to restore my prodinfo so it has a serial once again.

Just rename the file but next time, you should use something less dangerous such as 90DNS or dns.mitm

Sorry to bring up an old dead thread. However, I too was looking into this and I was referred to the best solution on Discord and wanted to state it here for anyone finding via Google:

1. Install TegraExplorer.
2. Put your prodinfo.bin file (about 4 MB size) as exactly `prodinfo.bin` on the root of your SD card.
3. Download this te script and place it on the root of your SD card.
4. Open TegraExplorer through Hekate or Directly
5. Select Browse SD, then the Script file, then Launch Script.
6. Select where you want to restore it, and which file (the file on root of SD).

You also have the choice to restore the automatic atmosphere backup, however, be careful with that and verify its actually the right one you want as the auto backup is likely the 000000'd one.

If you don't have a PRODINFO.bin file, but have a NAND backup that likely has a valid prodinfo, then run BisKeyDumper, Run HacDiskMount and open your rawnand.bin with it, then select the PRODINFO, enter your BIS Key data as it asks, and click backup. You now have the bin file!

Could someone tell me if it has a fix or salvation? That's how they gave it to me, but I don't know if it says Xaw by default, because mine says xkw below, and from what I see my PRODINFO. bin is less than 4 MB

Looks like an AMS autobackup
Sadly it's made from a sysNAND that has wiped PRODINFO partition...

Thank you, this saved my bacon on my old switch still had a backup that was only 32k and that seemed off to me found your post and was able to recover my blanked out prodinfo using Hekate and Nxnandmanager. Good stuff now to finally update to 19.0.0 whew!

A couple years ago I bought a modded switch from ebay. I recently discovered it was on incognito, and looked through the SD card but didn't find a prodinfo.bin. I've contacted the seller and am waiting for a response, but I find it unlikely they're gonna have the file/info I need. While searching through again, I found these two files in the atmosphere -> automatic backups. I was wondering if there was any way I could restore the switch using just these, I have my Switch's serial number since it's still written on the bottom, but that's all the info I have. I think both my sysnand and emunand are on Incognito.

I had also previously tried deleting the exosphere.ini (I backed it up ofc) because that's what someone had suggested but it seems to have done nothing.

if the person who sold it did it, if they used tinfoil to do the incognito, there is probably still an encrypted backup of prodinfo in nand that can be restored with the correct password in tinfoil. so you might want to ask about that

but you're probably wasting your time because that console is 99.5% banned and there is no benefit to valid prodinfo on banned console

ah alright, i'll see if they get back to me. the listing said it was unbanned so i hope that's not the case, would suck if it was banned. thanks for your response though, will definitely check with the seller
