So I am trying to learn how to solder and I opened up my switch lite to install an SX lite mod chip. I open the switch and took everything apart, and got down to the point where it would be ready to solder. I then touched it and it started making sounds, and then I noticed the fan was turning. I have absolutely no idea how it turned back on again but now the screen isn't turning on. The touch screen part works and the sound and buttons work but it also seems like the right d-pad button isn't working anymore either. (It isnt making any sound pressing it). I have put everything back in it besides the Metal guard thing And the heat pipe because I figured that stuff shouldn't matter when it comes to the screen turning on. I can't imagine I permanently broke anything because I haven't even soldered anything yet. Does anybody have any advice on things I could check? I unplugged the battery for now so the GPU won't overheat without the heat pipe or thermal paste.

Check the flexi linking the two. Classic failure mode. Make sure the flexi is properly seated on both sides and that you don't have bent pins..

Is there a diagram that shows what each cable or part in the switch does? I don't know what flexi cable it is

This is the flexible flat cable linking the two boards on the switch lite together. There are no diagrams for the Lite that I'm aware of but worth searching on Google.

Thanks for your help guys, but I ended up selling it on eBay for $150 tablet only no box, charger, or manuals. I would say I actually got pretty lucky getting $150 for a unit that doesn't work. Now I can get a new one for $50 more With an additional charger in case I need a backup
