Well the game not saving after just spawning items has always been like that. you need to spawn whatever drop them and pick em back up and save manually should save everything. you are writing to the ram but not hard setting the values.

OK, I never tested or used the cheats like that before (spawn and run and not actually interact with).

This morning I just spawned and tested and save/quit and tried the next one.

I was actually thinking that was the case (RAM write only) and after seeing the behavior I really thought so, but until I could try it back on 1.3.1, I just wanted to be up front about what exactly I was doing and seeing.

So aside from that one time crash, and to honest, I was also JKSV'ing after player 1, and did do a save and restore in between testing players 2 & 3, so I am not sure it was the cheat or not.
Coincidence? I hope, because that was the only time it happened and I have since saved/quit and restarted about 10 times now without issue.

So... thoughts?
Is it OK, or should we pull my posts?

So much going on w/ giveaway islands and hacked items that if Nintendo doesn't ban people this month they officially don't care.
There are absolutely no anti-cheat measures regarding save files soooo they have the chance now that save data and islands are uploaded after this update, but if they don't, I guess we can assume it's safe after all.

They also haven't banned people who have been editing the RAM online for months now. Supposedly they can detect it? My guess is that they may only ban people based on reports
Back when people were hacking Splatoon2 in 2018, bans were issued really fast, but it was because of people reporting.

The hacked towns from New Leaf are also still online, but I thought Nintendo would be more consequent this time.
So having more than 8 bridges or inclines or trees with just one space between would be OK?

Not at all tbh. ive been using codes online since launch day. i am just weary of using them on other islands of people i do not know. Also you can tell how many times you have been reported in the save flags in NHSE But i personally feel they wont be banning anyone.

you can make trees with just one space without cheating online there's glitches to do it

I'm also using codes offline, but I also "optimized" my island with more bridges and inclines and also decorated all 4th cliffs.
So I'm a little bit afraid to get banned if I will upload my dream island.

Both I modified every single acre of my Island including moving where my River mouths are the rocks everything on the edges all while online

Anyone got any ideas on how I could generate clean(empty) postbox.dat and postboxheader.dat files.

I'm experiencing the bug where your postbox displays 300 duplicates of a same mailbox item. Deleting the item, deletes all 300. Only 1 item can be received via mail per day with this issue.

Edit (Potential resolution):

So I didn't have a backup save available with a un-bugged mailbox...

I started a brand new game and played through the tutorial to generate a new postbox.dat and postboxheader.dat.

I then copied these across to replace the bugged files on my main save, and I was able to launch without issues.
When I checked the mailbox I had the two mails from Nintendo from the tutorial save.

I will confirm upon checking tomorrow's post if this resolved the issue.

Some notes:
-As a precaution I named the character and island the same as my main save, and used the same gender.
-I used the same yuzu install, same acnh .nsp and had the same dlc and updates installed (1.3).

When you are in the Fitting Room (your island or other's), open this code, wait one second and close it.
That's it. All the clothes will go straight into your storage.

Has anyone experienced this issue with AC:NH on a Mariko Switch (SX CORE). Running the installed backup from CFW, the game runs incredibly poorly (1-2 fps, jumpy audio, cannot access the menu) which then causes the game to eventually freeze. Backups of other games (including first party) have no issues, it just seems to be Animal Crossing.
