so i have been wanting to purchase a ps vita for a while now and have notice that there are two different models. i don't know what will be the best one to buy. what i want to do with the vita is to hack it to play some emulators. the reason im asking y'all is because i don't know if one is better then the other for emulation. thanks for your help

Both r equally the same no benefits to either in emulation

The Fat unit is better but you need to make sure when you are buying it that it comes with a memory card. The slim one honestly feels too cheap the only good thing about the slim model is that it has internal memory which you dont need to buy a memory card.

On a side note you will need SD2VITA also if you want to upgrade your memory

i can get a micro sd to vita on amazon for the cheap so thats good

I use Linux and the fat model doesn't register with qcma <-- (standard file transfer software for hacked units)

The first and fat model,I got both of them and there is absolutely no! Advantage in the new Model accept the 1gig built-I’m Memory, but the screen in the old model more then makes up for it.
