Enabling a basic overclock on your Xbox One
This was discovered by Title OS:
1) Download hwinit.overclock.gpucpu.cfg
2) Rename it to hwinit.cfg
3) put it on a usb drive under a folder named $SystemUpdate
4) plug the usb into your xbox
5) reboot

If you hear your xbox beep twice on boot up that means its working

The file enables an overclocked mode controlled by a byte at 0x8 and can have a value between 0x01 - 0x58. File Magic: 0x1-0x58 - 4E,49,57,48,02.Unknown FF range.

its not permanent and only works as long as you have the usb plugged in

It is unknown how specifically each mode affects your Xbox, the changes are not permanent so just try things out

its not gonna make your original xbox one an xbox one x but it will have some improvement and does not really risk damaging your xbox

I have never used any usb device on my xbox...

most games are fps locked, but there might be slight increases in games that are unlocked, i believe it happened to thge one S, which has a very slightyl higher clock than the fat one

No idea how this enables an overclock, but there you go. Would love to see someone show some actual comparisons of performance difference, if any exists at all.

as far as i know there isnt any video of it kicking about but trusted people in discord have used it and tried it with retail retroarch. not sure what else it has been used with though. not 100% sure but i think i see someone saying it was encryted! could be wrong information though

So just a quick test:
Loading forza 7 (from the xbox home menu) and one track took 132 seconds without overclock and 122 seconds with overclock enabled which is approx. 7.5 % faster.
Don´t blame me on any technical details behind this. This is just what I have measured.

do you get an option/choice to what you overclock too? or is it just set to one speed?
