I assume sooning is constantly talking about what is going to happen soon, when in fact nothing actually happens.

Because that is how the ps4 scene feels like anyway.

What can we really expect apart from rampant piracy?

There have been active working exploits for a while now on various firmwares and we haven't seen much in terms of homebrew/emulators that are actually worth a toss and this has me wondering if anything would change at a later date? Devs don't seem to be that interested in this platform in contrast to say a Switch which is veritably bursting at the seams with a scene whilst the PS4 has been SOONing for quite some time now.

Like I said, just wondering...

as much as the ps4 scene really want people to do homebrew it's kinda hard/expensive to get can get their hands on a ps4 5.05 (especially with the virus) and with no new exploit update anyone that would like to mod the ps4 would have to shell up quite some cash. i mean look at the vita once some new exploit updates came out, the homebew community blew up and tons of content came out.

edit:although whoever is left in the ps4 scene i still wish them luck on creating homebrew or anything cool.

Tbh my PS4 was collecting dust even when it was on 5.05. I'm sure even if they release some new exploit it will still be just collecting dust.
