Most mobile phone repair shops just swap the pieces instead of soldering nothing, it's normal. I wouldn't do such a risky job

Got my SX Core the other day, except I realized I got the hands of a recovering meth addict and nothing can still these guys.

So now I am calling around to old modchip installers the transitioned to phone repair, basically the ones who can repair cell phone ports that are soldered on are probably the best bet, or ones with modz at the end of their name.. lol

For some reason these seem to have been sent from Los Angeles, CA to Jamaica, NY. Now I guess they have to move back across the US after going through a 3rd party shipper.

Y think is no especially difficult if you have appropiate soldering tools. I had a thin diameter tin (Sn+Pb), a thin soldering iron tip I ordered and patience

Please show some support to developers they spend countless hours to bring joy to us. Personally, I use SX OS to try out games before I purchase them. If I like a game, I buy it.
If you don’t wanna do it this way at least little support the hbg shop community. Imagine if everyone of us don’t buy and play pirated games, how do you think developers are gonna survive?

Yah exactly. I try then and never play them again. Since 95% of the games are crap.

I just ordered mine. There were few sellers posted here but none of them sells it any more. As mentioned few times Ali has good buyer protection in case things go wrong and you won't get your goods so I guess no brainer? I've ordered mine on 17th with regular cheap shipping and it's now being sent to my local post office so I expect it before weekend. Can already track it with UK royal mail tracking service. I'll post a pic when it arrives. Still worried of what's inside the package - SX Core or just couple of AA batteries

if you are using SX Core or SX Lite, do NOT use Tinfoil's Incognito feature. This will cause a brick and we're not sure it's even reversable. For those that bricked their units with ChoiDujourNX, sit tight. We have a solution in the works.

i'm new in switch modding, so if incognito doesnt work, what would you suggest other method to go online. (primarily youtube for my kids)

Any update on getting your chip?? Cause mine been sitting at JFK airport (I'm assuming it's there with customs) since the 16th also.

SxOs has their own incognito ,that it is on by default

So the sx core is very easy to install if you take your time and have a good magnifying glass/lamp. I have never done micro soldering before, but got mine in just fine!

Looks like v1 is easy enough for me, but v2 seems way trickier.
