before installing modchip, should we update the switch to the latest firmware or just let it be whatever firmware it is on ?
It shouldn't make a difference, you can update after if needs be.

try this file
What is it? Does it works on mariko console with sx core?
Firmware doesn’t matter as long as the sxos supports it. So anything above firmeware 2.0, it’ll work on.before installing modchip, should we update the switch to the latest firmware or just let it be whatever firmware it is on ?
Don't run random payloads you find on the internet, just wait for the official release, it will come sooner or later.
And what about other things (atmosphere e.t.c) ? When it will be supported.Firmware doesn’t matter as long as the sxos supports it. So anything above firmeware 2.0, it’ll work on.

Depends on what you want. If you want to have the latest firmware you can update since sxos supports 10.0.4 - if you want to stay on an older firmware you dont update.
Only thing I advice before installation is linking a nintendo account, because its not possible anymore after installation (I dont know why, on my switch it just puts out an error message and I have to restart the switch)
So ideally I would say:
1. Update firmware
2. Link account
3. Install Modchip
4. Make NAND Backup
5. Activate emuNAND
Mine hasn't shipped yet. Latest update I had was that they were delayed until July.So ,, how many havent received the Sx Lite ?
