Just tried on my switch (bought last month).
I had to use a PH0 instead of PH00 on the top screw as I was starting to damage the head with the smallest screwdriver tip but I managed to unscrew it. the other phillips screw came without too much effort.
I only had a PY0 for the triwings and it worked too (a little hard since this tip almost too big for the hole).

Now I just have to receive my modchip (bought june 11 on elewelt, shipped with yanwen express to france, still in transit)
The screwdrivers we’re supposed to use is ph00 and y00 right? (can’t check right now) So would you say use the recommended sizes and if it seems iffy go a size bigger?

Please which soldering pin should I use..while installing the SX Core

I have joined a picture please
Thanks

Personally, I’ve had the best experiences with tips 3 and 4. Get the pads pre fluxed, and with the tips straight edge, hold it against the component and feed the solder in. Pointy edges don’t tend to hold heat in my opinion as the straight edges. Besides, you can rest the straight edge against the component whilst you fumble with the solder lol!

Once you have done your NAND backup, where do you start from?
Backup SD
Create Emunand, the easiest way i found to do this wasnt to make an emunand in the bootloader.
On the sd create a folder called "sxos" and inside it create a folder called "emunand"
copy your nand backup to it (this makes it easier to transfer nands backup reinstall etc)

then thats it any homebrew you install like normal.
sysmodules go in sxos/titles

you still need to hold power+vol up to access the bootmenu as it will boot emu by default now

also payloads dont work they need to be coded to work

Last edited by izy,
guys make sure to use fat32 instead of exfat. My sd card (exfat) just got coruppted in one day, because sxinstaller froze. (gave me errors afterwards in sxinstaller)

Does anyone know of anyone that installs these in Europe? Really don't feel like sending my switch all the way to the US.

I'm pretty sure you're gonna find thousands of People in the Iberian Peninsula that can do this

So.. what kind of things I can do know.. play games?

Have anyone gotten the reward for translating the CORE and LITE manuals yet? Or the tracking numbers?

How long does it take for PayPal requests to come through?

I’ve tried ordering on Tx and sxflash last week sometime and sent them both emails but still waiting on a reply

Also strange that credit/debit card wasn’t on the options for me only PayPal request?

Aliexpress has plenty of Core in stock and are the most affordable - Just placed an order for 5 Cores with fast shipping came out to $270 total - Less than $55 each Core isn't to bad.

Placed order a few days ago and have been tracking order as it moves.

Decided to go this route as many customers have their Cores in hand from Ali.

They take paypal and CC.
