I've play playing RA a lot lately and wanted to overclock the GPU so I can get a bit of an FPS boost, but it seems like RA on switch doesn't support it (Only Lakka does)
Whats a reliable method to overclock the GPU a bit on the switch?

Oh RA = RetroArch i'm guessing. It only has a setting for CPU overclocking.

Yea use sys-clk and modify the speeds on whatever title you use for launching retroarch.

What game/console are you trying to speed up? I'm not sure how much gpu overclock will help. Be sure to post results!

that makes sense.

well, id suggest using this tool to create forwarder nsps for retroarch games and then you can use sys-clk on those titles. meaning you can have loads of different settings for all your retroarch games while not have do edit them everytime you change the retroarch game or when you want to play the title you override RA with

Thanks! Will post results. Two of the games that struggle to keep steady FPS even with Max CPU setting in RA are 007 and Gauntlet Legends at the lowest resultion and settings tweaked for best performance in Retroarch. I'm going to test this out and see if this helps keep a steady FPS on them, doing this in Lakka greatly help performance so I'm hoping to see similar results!

m4xw, one of the developers behind RA for switch recommends not using a forwarder because it will cause problems with emulation.

Reporting back:

Clocking the GPU at 460hz seems to give zero benefits on Retroarch, and I noticed the same amount of stuttering in 007 and Gauntlet Legends.

Very strange because doing this in Lakka gives a huge boost in performance and made these games run perfectly. Without this boost in Lakka the games essential ran the same as they do in the Horizon version of RA.

Most emulators are not really GPU bound, though maybe this will change with Citra.

It seems that way, just so strange the Lakka gets such a serious boost in performance in N64 from the 150ish clock up on the GPU, while RA on Horizon gets no performance gains at all.

Well, the main difference is that we have access to the official Linux driver from Nvidia when using lakka, while we're limited to the open source Nouveau driver when using Horizon.
