So I usually play my Wiiware/VC compatible games in USB Loader GX installed with emunand dump, etc. Recently though I tried to add a game (Castlevania and Gyrostarr) to USB Loader which both didn't load. I then tried to play them from the Wii SD card menu screen and now I get a message saying "This channel could not be launched. Manage your Wii System Memory to launch this channel". And not the majority of games from the SD card menu screen give say the same. Any ideas on what may have happened and if there is a fix?

The clue is in the on-screen message, you can shift a lot of titles to a big SD card but when you launch them there still needs to be sufficient 'blocks' available in real NAND.
Check what's available within settings, sounds like you may have crammed it with games?

Yep to expand on what @fatherjack said when you launch a game from the sd menu the game is temporarily copied to the nand chip so as it can boot (games cannot be booted directly from the SD Card) If you don't have the same size of memory free on the nand as your game then obviously it can't boot as there is not enough space for the game to be temporarily copied to.

@fatherjack @AmandaRose Thank you both for the fast response! "Real NAND" is the amount of blocks in Wii Options>Data Options>Wii Channels? If so, then all I'd need to do is delete and uninstall a few Wiiware/VC wads from SD card menu and the rest should play fine?

You need to have as much free space on your Wii's NAND as your biggest SD WiiWare game. Otherwise, some games can't launch.

Got it. Guess I’ll need to delete the less used stuff. Thanks for the clarification, fam!

Now there is an SD Card Menu Data icon when looking in the Options Channel screen and taking up blocks. This isn’t normal, is it?
