ROM Hack Question about Cleaning Sysnand

I'm seeing some mixed messages on this and am hoping for some clarification.

I've been using Atmosphere basically since it first came out, before EmuNANDs were a thing. I've never installed an NSP, as I don't pirate (basically all I do are save backups, edizon cheats, older style layerfs cheats back when they were a thing, and ftp transferring cheat files). I have however, been connected to the internet before while on CFW, though I make sure to boot to stock when updating or browsing the E-Shop.

While I do have a nand backup, it isn't "clean" (that is, it was made after my first boot to CFW while connected to the internet). I've seen posts that say to use Haku33 and then set up an EmuNAND, but others say the damage is done and that won't help since I connected to the internet already (and could even make it worse by making my logs suddenly clean). Is there anything I can do, or should I just continue as usual and hope I don't get banned?

I don't understand, are you booting CFW or stock when you go online? Those are 2 very different things. Either way, if you have already gone online, Haku33 may not only be not what you're looking for but can actually make your situation worse as you have already sent logs to Nintendo since going online. If you remove those with Haku33, there will be a mismatch which can lead to a ban.

Basically if I'm going to be doing something online like firmware updating, eshop stuff, etc., I will boot to stock sysnand.

CFW sysnand has only been online in the sense that it has been connected to the internet in the background.

Sounds like there isn't much to be done either way. I'll just continue to minimize risk the best I can by not pirating anything, making sure to boot to stock while online, etc.
