Hi, so Im new to the forum and I'm getting an EZ Flash Omega in the next couple of days, I was wondering if the latest version of Goomba Color included in SimpleLight has a fix for Pokemon Crystal or is it still completely broken?

Pokémon Crystal is still broken. Sorry. There is not really much I can do about it.

Great job Sterophonick! Really appreciate the time and effort put into this.

One question - is it possible to add name scrolling for games saved in NORFlash?

Also - I noticed (using the dark theme) that whilst moving through files in NORFlash Browser the red highlighting "spills" over the white window border to the right. This does not happen in the SD-Card Browser and its blue highlighting and is not visible when switching to the NORFlash Browser tab - only once you start moving through the files.

Is there really a reason to use NORFlash?

I never thought of having the name scroll in NORFlash, I'll look into what happens when a file is written.

I will also look into the color spilling. Thanks.

I really like your theme Sterophonick! Is there a way I can include the patches from Veikkos newest v5 kernel "deactivate color on GB games and deactivate SGB border by default, Start emulated games directly without empty game menu" ? This speeds up booting GB/GBC games and give them a more uniform look.

Fun fact: I've been working on that! It will be in the next release!

I need help.

I've been trying to remove the need to patch PocketNES, which will allow me to change the emulator (think like veikkos' Goomba Color modification from a few days ago).
Sometimes the emulator stops working, will show a black screen, and the games won't boot up anymore. I think I *may* have fixed it, but I can't be too sure. I would like it if people test their NES games on this dev build so I can make sure I did fix it.

Please tell me if you see anything that goes wrong.

Update 2.92:
- Added the changes to Goomba Color that veikkos added to his kernel.
- Various plugin changes (.wav music is actually playable)
- Some graphical fixes
- Removed the need for PocketNES to be patched.

A note about .wav music:
- For it to play at all, it needs to be in GSM 6.10 format, and can't have a sample rate higher than 22050 Hz. These changes can easily be made with programs such as Audacity.

small bug or error, if you have a game installed to nor, on the light theme you have a white background, with black text that has a dark red boarder, not exactly an issue since you should know what games installed, but it just look bad

Is there any real reason to use nor?

Quick-start by holding a button on some kernels and slightly faster start. Not much, but I use it for one of my favorite game at a time.
On so it's the stupid flashme argument all over again

i added a feature that allows you to hold L as the cart starts up and it will automatically launch the first ROM in NOR, because people asked me for it
