This is a warning to those who inject dumps- if you invite somebody from an island to move into an empty plot before dumping the data into the villager slot, it will give you the WRONG exterior for the house.

I tried to inject the dump into an empty slot with one empty "for sale" land plot available in-game, but it gave me an active villager with no house or physical presence. Tom gave me a moving kit that will give you an error that says "there's not enough space", regardless of how much space you give the kit to plot a house.

This function is extremely broken.

I'm using build #20200331.2 for NHSE

Its possible but it's not really recommended, and if you already are the type of person that separates yourself from the people who are hacking, Im going to go out on a limb and say that you're a high risk for accidentally ending up banned. I don't mean that offensively, you just really have to know what you are doing if you don't want to accidentally end up banned. Its safer just to keep hacked Switches off of Nintendo's servers, and locally swapping data over to a clean Switch.

So, can't I just use emunand then? Edit my save and bring it back to sysnand?

#20200331.3 Add building editor
You now can edit buildings with NHSE, but the map is still not available.

Okay guys. Special request. The Youtuber boundary break is asking me if it's possible to make an unlocked 360 camera outside similar to how it works inside your house. He's planning on making a boundary break episode soon but needs a code that will allow this. Anyone know if it's possible? I'm not super into messing with codes. I only made a no clip code couple weeks ago and he's asking for my help. Maybe someone more skilled can help me out with this situation.

Okay so Shesez is dead serious about wanting this 360 camera mod. If anyone can make one, I'll shoot it over to him via DMs with credits to whoever made it or contributed because he REALLY wants one for an upcoming ACNH video.

What's the link to the latest version of NHSE? Everytime he does a push of the files, it's a pain to find the new branch.
Thanks in advance.

So Im chipping away at finding a way to force villagers to the mystery island. The way the game stores values for villagers is a bit weird though. I locked down the address that determines what type of Animal will load in, but the value for which specific animal is not stored anywhere around there (or if it is, it doesnt use the same ID values that we do have)

Edit: i figured it out. It turns out that the specific animal ID isnt the same. So 04, 05 is really 04, 35 and so on. Im going to keep plugging away and with a little luck I should have a cheat to spawn specific villagers on mystery island negating any problems we have with the Save editor (for now) and the lengthy wait times for amiibo villagers!

if i remember correctly someone in here said putting bugs/fish in your inventory with the inventory hack doesnt put them in your critterpedia right? or did i remember something wrong. just trying to get confirmation before trying this out.

Correct, adding them with cheats will not add them to your critterpedia.

So the ACNH design pattern editor tool by FluffyFishGames works great and even losslessly converts .acnl files saved from acpatterns.com to the new data. It doesn't export them as .acnh or .nhd however so it's best to import .acnl files to your save and then use NHSE to export converted patterns to .nhd so that others can use them in the new format. Really wish support for Pro designs such as dresses would come out soon as I have some clothes designs that are in .acnl format that I'd like to import.

When I load the empty villager file to one of my villagers and try to load the save in game my save file gives me an error and crashes I had a backup save but anytime I load the empty villager file to one of my villagers the game crashes on start

So, I've got a question, to those that are hacking this game. Are you able to play it online after you do? Connect to others players world and host other players?

I have a clean unpatched Switch, with a physical copy of Animal Crossing that I have been playing normally. My question is, if I decide to install custom firmware and cheat in the game to add certain items or edit miles, bells, etc. Will I be able to play online again with other people?

I do not recommend. Just know that everything is a risk. If you overwrite the file from Emunand to Sysnand, that's also a risk. If you don't get banned later, that's great. But if not, that's unfortunate for you. What I want to say is that if you don't know what you are doing, I don't recommend it at all like the person before has said to you.
