It's not trolling when it's true. The Switch library is horrible & the quality of exclusives is horrible. Exclusives look good, but they have no substance. Take Zelda Breath of the Wild for example, it looks good but it's literally one of the worst game in the series
Botw still a WiiU port

I'm not a huge fan BOTW either, but you gotta admit it open doors to the open-world play among other games as if it created a trend across gaming companies.

And so opinions differ: BotW is the best Zelda for me. Put more than 200 hours in it. Amazing game although the story could be a bit more present.
Also Smash Bros. Ultimate is the best Smash ever.
Super Mario Maker 2 is genius.
Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion are pretty nice.
Octopath Traveler and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are some really good RPGs.
ARMS is more fun than most would think (friends and me love to pull it out every time we meet).
And then there are a few very good third party ports (I know, there are also very bad ones) and thousands of (N)Indies are most enjoyable on the Switch tbh.

Yes, there's no Red Dead Redemption 2. But it's a mobile console. And there's Witcher 3.

I don't know guys ... yes there could be much more quality first party games (Pikmin, Metroid, F-Zero to name a few) and Pokémon was disappointing but still I've got so many very good games on my Switch. Far more than I have time to play. Can't complain about the library at all at this point. Was bad within the first 1 - 1.5 years but went to a very good state from there.

Also Retroarch on Switch is the best emulation on a console ever. So many different cores to choose from. To me Switch would just be average but Retroarch (and other standalones like MelonDS) put it over the top.

So the rumors are true. Damn. Now you fools gonna make da other site hot. No one should be allowed to say anything other than we we know a site is r.i.p. i also agree with the comment that eventually we will see gbatemp attacked. Even with how careful site has been.

Well Nintendo ninjas be hunting down some of the bigger parties.
It's always been a cat and mouse game. But Nintendo was very restrictive about what they pursued.
But as long as we can get homebrew on the system by which means what so ever ... the 'scene' will be dumping/preserving (choose whatever you think is the case) and they (Nintendo) will be chasing.

2 more gone the past few days

that paradise site (a personal fav of mine) and that nsw rom site too
Daamn, I was using the paradise one too sometimes.
I'm a bit scared, are we going back to emule lol
Hope they're not taking down the software one too, it's so good.

the software one is a prime target. I would advice people that I know to change their profiles and ask the admin to nuke any logs that might exist.

They've probably hired someone (or multiple people) to find these sites and report it back to Nintendo.

All things considered, the Switch is now 3 years old. The library is lackluster, even with the titles you mentioned. The system is drowning in back ported titles.. Especially from its DOA predecessor. BotW was originally meant to be a WiiU game that actually had a couple features removed so they could make it a launch port (yes, port) for the Switch. Even then, it lost what made prior Zelda games memorable. Smash Bros Ultimate is okay, I guess. Getting tired of the FE characters. There's a missed opportunity from Sakurai to bring it prime characters from other titles. Odyssey was great, actually. Short, and the post game content lacked. Still, it had me nostalgic for SM64. Luigi's Mansion 3 isn't bad, I've got nothing to say to that. Octopath traveler is pretty much just a storybook version of older FF titles, and it's not even exclusive anymore. Xenoblade is an overrated title, in my opinion. "Don't forget me!" got annoying, The VA was laughable with no real emotions. The story never hit home for me.

If we're getting ports, I'd prefer to have seen the Metroid Prime trilogy. Being able to play those 3 titles in handheld mode would have been amazing. Also where's the retro catalog? I've said it once, but I'll say it again. Nintendo is screwing the proverbial pooch with how they've handled the classic titles. The NES and SNES libraries are hit or miss depending on who you are, I guess.

I had high hopes for the system since its announcement. It actually started off strong, but the momentum faded quickly after the first year. We're getting Animal Crossing in a week, but what else? Is there anything else to look forward to this year? As far as I can tell, the answer is a resounding "no".

Although I don't share your point of view I see what you mean.
However I (for myself) have so many great games on the Switch and have to think hard for every 30 minutes of free time after work on which game to spend 'em.
Also it's the perfect weekend console (my wife and me travel a lot between different locations at weekend).
But the fact that I don't have a problem with ports might be the main difference between you and me. :)

One goes down. A 1000000000000000000 will rise. They didn’t accomplish anything. Because In the end the internet will always win.
Just my 2 cents. Long long timer. Even game streaming isn’t safe from piracy.

Damn your so right, they only sold near if not more than 60 Million units in 3 years (we'll know at their next financial meeting) and sold more than the XBOX in 2 1/2 or so. Momentum is lacking so hard right now...

Switch has an awesome library full of great first party, third party and indie content. No complaints. BTW Sakurai does not choose the characters that get put in the game. Who says Super Smash is "ok, I guess." You either love it or hate it. I own all 3 systems and switch gets more time than the other 2 combined personally and with friends and family. U sound like a salty hater, mad af that Ninty is having great success. I'm sure Prime Trilogy will be announced when we hear more about MP4.

So... Can't really spend time to read 9 pages. I though DU is just down and being fixed, but it seems like project is belly up.

Does anyone know what happened? Don't really care, but curious. Is it because nintendo?
