Hacking FBI - failed to install cia

Um i could use some help, trying to install a cia of Donkey Kong Country returns 3d (i want to have it on 3ds intead of physical ) but i get result code 0xC86044D2 can anyone help?

they will answer you and try to fix the issue you have, but you should try re downloading the cia file.
have both O3ds Xl and N3ds XL and i have it on both. install with FBI 2.5.0

I know I am late to the party but always check your sd card with h2testw software. There are many shady sellers out there.

I had the same issue and it turned out that my card had corrupted sectors. Some games was crushing and I was unable to install cias from different sources.
I changed memory card proceed with instructions in this post and issue go away. Even games which used to crash started to working w/o reinstalling!

summary:

1. Copy your current card data to backup folder on PC.
2. Format card with 32mb cluster sector.
3. Test card with h2test software result must be "green bar" (!)- can't be skipped!
4. Copy data back from backup folder.
5. Install games that did not install earlier!

corrupted or incomplete/missing data, find another CIA or try getting the file again.

If you're downloading something obscure, then it is quite possible that a lot of places have the same bad download. Perhaps if you want it that badly, you should consider buying it legally..?

An alternative to FBI is the new custom-install but it has no GUI and it won't help much if the CIA is bad.

You did test your card with h2testw when you got it, right?

If none of the previously mentioned solutions worked for you, then I would suggest downloading Luma3DS v10.2. If you already have it, then re-download it.
