i've had drifting joycons for like a year now and it's gotten to the point where it's literally unusable, see the image below. has anyone gotten new joycons recently, and have they broken again in the same manner? i'm trying to hold off until the problem is completely gone before i have to fork up a $150 price tag only to see them break again after a couple of months/weeks

here's some proof of how bad mine are. yes it's gotten a bit of debris in the analog stick well, because i've literally been neglecting it for months at this point

I've maybe used my switch for a total of 150 hours over the past 2 years, and I booted it up last week to see that the left joycon drifts upward on the home menu for no reason. It's crazy that the problem is this bad and Nintendo still hasn't revised the design in three years.

I just bought those cheap chinese analog stick replacements and the funny thing is those still works great up to this day while the joycons own stick only lasted like 6 months before it started drifting.

From my personal observation:
Joy-Cons got drift from ppl pushing on a stick too hard when actions is required.
This action bending out a metal back cover of an actual stick.
Nintendo tried 4 different patterns of ridges on a back cover but nothing helps.

Simple trick is not to push it to hard =) ahhaha

Doesn't the new model joycons fix the issue? The purple and orange
thing is i want to keep the gray joycons, i find the mismatched colours ugly as all hell

mine started drifting like this after a couple of months of light use, so it's definitely not from "pushing too hard"

Yeaaa All 3 of my left joycons have joycon drift.... I sent them to Nintendo since they will fix them for free and have for a while. I only have right joycons to play with so that sucks :rofl2:

Im hoping that these joycons last a while since the drift hasnt started until recently for me

May be my product was different, i am a regular consumer with regular needs, played 4-5 games on switch with their PRO controller. It become my favorite controller of all times. I love built quality, attention to the small detail, such as buttons size and etc, even i disagree with the price of this device.

On the other side Joy-Cons are very poorly built, have loads of issues such as Drift and R\L buttons just brakes with tearing traces crazy easy. Same issues we have in Switch lite i just got one with both sticks drifting and R\L buttons broken off the board, even console looks very clean and has no damages.
